I can’t talk for anyone else but you couldn’t be more wrong in terms of judging my motive. I was genuinely trying to avoid two tribes kicking off (unsuccessfully as it turns out) by letting folks know something that they may not have been aware of.

Twice in two days I have tried to be helpful and had it thrown back in my face. I fully understand there are different ways of coping with the occasional brutality of our loved sport. I get very emotional and upset others are a little more pragmatic…there is no right or wrong just different and I absolutely do not believe I care more … I just react differently. This is the kast time I try and justify my motives for posts that are designed to be helpful. I cannot control if others want to assume negative intent.

I cant speak for richirich, but i can only assume he didn't mean your post? I personally liked the way you put your post and actually brought it too my attention what had happened. So please do what you do, I appreciated it. The contrast to yours and the other post was simple and effective and not trying to shame anyone, I genuinely could tell yours was helpful. Now maybe the other was too, but my interpretation from there's was condescending!

Aye, or one of Willie's others appears as a proper BANC horse! Of course wouldn't be definitive but would help you'd think.

Ramillies is a bit of a potential issue to that theory mind.

Thanks to Eggs and the 20/1 win today and BANC, it makes NHC a win win for the point you mention - if he opts for the NHC with GDM then thats a vote of confidence for hopefully Minella Crooner.

Ramillies to my eye wants all of 5m so I think its NHC or bust for him. The conversation will definitely be had as they are part of the same team.

To my untrained eyes, it didn't look like he jumped particularly well, just better than the rest. He hung out the back and the race kind of fell into his lap imo. Under normal circumstances, you'd think a more sedate pace in the NHC would suit better but the current BANC contenders probably don't scare Willie off giving that a go either.

All in all, fuck knows

No, but where are they? No entries over Christmas has to be a concern. Maybe they just had a hard race the last day and needed more time to recover. I’d like to see them getting entries soon though

The BANC is looking like it's going to be a great punting race. Number of contenders without anyone seemingly being a class above yet.

I personally can't take to Gaillard Du Mesnil and Gerri Colombe.

Thyme Hill has absolutely no chance in this race.

Classic Getaway and Minella Cocooner are both interesting but could possibly be split. They'd be joint favourites for me if we knew they were definitely coming here.

Gentlemansgame didn't impress me with his jumping.

Ballygrifincottage should go the NHC.

Journey with Me needs the 3m but likely will go to the Turners.

Ramilles will go to the NHC.

Minella Crooner is too slow.

James du Berlais needs to be seen out after so long off.

Thedevilscoachman isn't a horse I've ever liked.

Appreciate It would breeze in if aimed here.

Crystal Glory will hopefully put up a performance tomorrow to give the British something better than Thyme Hill.

Yep, nasty chesty lung illness, my dad had it quiet bad when he was young.
He did live to a ripe old age though!!

I was mainly referring to the other poster who was much more provocative than yourself, but I included you too as while I don’t have the examples at hand, I seem to remember a number of occasions in the past where you criticized some posters for not caring enough about horse welfare after they posted about certain horses falling or not running due to quick ground etc, when I didn’t feel those posters were being derogatory or warranted any criticism.

so while your post today was not that provocative at all, coupled with some posts that you’ve made in the past, it still had that look to me of “uhhh another I care more about welfare than you” debate about to start off. If that was not the intent then fair enough and I stand corrected.

Best jumping I’ve seen is from a horse that probably will be in a different race….ADV yesterday
