I’m hoping for Quais De Paris to shape well and then go on the the Bartlett. Might be one that you could get a triple figure price in ‘win today and at the festival’ markets

Unibet are stand out 50s for the AB - I've been hovering over that for the last hour as he's slightly shorter on the exchanges.

Which would be a boost for Quais de Paris’ chances of heading to the potato race…

                    • Really pleased to see authorised speed not declared for the 2mile novice hurdle at chepstow friday.
There's a 2m3 1/2 f novice at ascot on their ascot chase card that I'd really like him to be entered in.
I know he was a no show in the tolworth, but i've still got a feeling he could be a player in the ballymore.

That Ascot meeting often ruins many a chance for Chelt(been caught myself a couple of times) often run on brutal ground within 3/4 weeks of Cheltenham. Not got the stats to hand but a friend did a good piece about it all & will try to find it closer to the time.

I agree it's usually run on soft ground. But the testing 2m3 1/2f would really suit him, shouldn't be an overly difficult race if he's got any chance in a ballymore, and the trainer says his preference is soft.

                          reynoldstown last 10 winners

2022 - does he know - ultima - probably the wrong race in hindsight.
                          2021 - remastered - NHC - 5th to galvin, did he stay?
2020 - copperhead - rsa - fell, never good enough
                          2019 - mister malarky - rsa - 4th @ 20/1, not a bad run.
                          2018 - black corton - rsa - 5th @ 5/1, again not too bad a run.
                          2017 - bigbadjohn - NHC 4miler - pu, did he stay?
                          2016 - vyta du roc - rsa - 5th @ 12/1 again not bad
2015 - ainsi fideles - never went to cheltenham - won at fakenham festival week.
                          2014 - o'faolains boy - rsa - won @12/1

so 1 winner in the last 10 years, in the rsa. some respectable performances and some that probably went for the wrong race, from 9 winners that went to cheltenham.
                          of the 6 british trained winners of the rsa in the last 10 years their previous runs were in ;

                          Blaklion - towton
                          topofthegame - kauto star
                          champ - dipper
                          l'homme presse - scilly isles
might bite - doncaster novice chase class 4
                          o'faolains boy - reynoldstown.

so the reynoldstown is 1 of 6 different races with 1 win in the last 10 years.

                          Ascot chase last 10 winners.
6 haven't gone to cheltenham, the 4 that have gone were.

2020 - Riders onthe storm - fell in the ryanair @11/1, still in contention?
2017 - cue card - fell in gold cup @ 9/2, still in contention?
2015 - balder success - 7th in ryanair @ 7/1, yeah could probably have done better.
                          2013 - cue card - won @ 7/2

so 1 winner in the last 10 years from 4 winners that went to cheltenham.
                          of the 4 british trained winners of the ryanair in the last 10 years their previous runs were in ;

                          Frodon - cotswold chase
                          uxizandre - game spirit
                          dynaste - king george
                          cue card - ascot chase

The ascot chase is 1 of 4 different races.

From 13 winners that have gone to cheltenham in the last 10 years from these races we have 2 winners. 15% strike rate.

probably a load of bollocks but it's not that bad really, there were no favourites that got beat or anything.

Despite having the form he's just not sexy enough is he ? I feel Punters will naturally be attracted to others in the race even though they haven't yet produced what he has on the track.

Yea it seems that way. I’d backed him twice, cashed one of them there. Have impaire at 40s so hopefully he’s the 1
