Agree the DRF has changed things but worth noting the past two Mullins winners have both gone Supreme and been close to favourite. I believe off memory min/douvan/vautour also did but I'd put less credence on those given DRF introduction.

I'm so tempted with Gaelic questions, Grangeclare surely stepping up now and a few options at 2m to put facile in Ballymore for my comp entry but I'm also not an idiot and know what the betting is showing!

    • Money has come back in for Grangeclare West for the Ballymore.
Got my bet laid back at 16's and has been backed back in elsewhere.
Have nothing on him now myself.

Who would you have going Albert bartlett for Willie in this situation? Dark Raven? Madmansgame (not good enough?) Champ kiely (deserves Bally now?) - I'm trying to play partial Mullins bingo (speed Vs stayers, rather than specific races), but struggling to think of too many stayers...

        • I don't really like any of Mullins novices over 3 miles this season. Three Card Brag, Favori De Champdou and Sandor Clegane all look proper stayers and my idea of the winner would come from them. Hidden Valley Lake looked ok, but Monbeg Park didn't exactly set the form alight in the lawlors. Personally think he's very short for what he's done.

I got FDC (win today from last race) and sandor clegane (thanks ComplyOrDie) covered for the race so I'll be happy if you're right with either of them. Haven't warmed to TCB or HVL for some reason - suspect it's because both put in decent performances when I was busy with work so might have to check both back in the next few weeks...

                      Care to share big man?

Imagine could be one possible but I think he’d run on merit if declared. Tax For Max I’m not sure I can trust. The rest look like they’d struggle to make the cut in a festival handicap.

                        I don't really know.
I'd think Grangeclare might but not sure.

I can't get over the fact that Champ Kiely was running in Galway in July - It feels like they started him off early with a view to getting experience into him. We know the trend of Albert Bartlett horses traditionally being those that are battle hardened through the season. He is certainly one that fits this bill having had a good few runs now. He shapes like he stays the trip. I know Casey hinted towards him sticking to the middling trip in his interview afterwards, but if Champ Kiely turned up in the bartlett I'd fancy him

Yeah, I had written him off as staying over the mid trip but if he did step up, I'd definitely be giving him a second look (at an admittedly short price) - thanks

                              • Interested to hear people’s views on quais de Paris obviously Willie rates him highly I didn’t mind his last run thought by when Townsend got to work on him he shot away doing most of his good work at the end. With the new handicap rule can’t see him getting 4 runs now! Where do people see him running at the festival
