If he hoses up in the sidney over that distance then a weaker bally ,compared to supreme , would surely be the destination. ..imo
Charlie longsdon did refer to huntingdon as a sharp 2 1/2 miles on racing posts what a shout, he also didn't win in 2 p2p attempts so until he's proven it i think his stamina for the ballymore trip would be questioned

Yep in the racing post supplement today quoted as saying will be entered in 2m and 2m4 for Chelt and Aintree.

And as you have stated Birds Nest, he mentions haydock coming up but won't go if heavy, alternatively the sydney banks is an option.

One I've had an eye on, and know quite a few on here keen on him. But waiting for the right firms to go nrnb to get him on board!

He’s in the Weekender tomorrow(RFO today) with his stable tour. Basically says will not go Haydock if heavy & the Sidney Banks would be the alternative.

Also mentions his jumping, saying he’s not a bad jumper just very novicy so might appreciate the step up to go that bit slower and give him time to organise himself etc

He’s going to give him entries in Sup/Bally as well as Aintree, I know you like this lad, big prices floating on the exchange for something that will hold entries in the race & possibly step up in trip nto.

Big Bird beaten me to it ^

Yeah, He wouldn't be of interest to me for the ballymore. no way, jose!

On his jumping, on racing post what a shout, he claimed he was almost too perfect for a hurdler, not sure stepping up in trip will help with his technique. I think he's quick enough on the flat to compensate for slightly slower/cleaner jumps.

can't remember the last winner of the sidney banks to win a ballymore?

Fair enough, I can see what the trainers saying, certainly could do with being a bit slicker.

French Holly(98) to answer your last Q. Obvs you can say Shishkin won the Supreme in 2020.

Thank you, yeah the shishkin bit is where it was heading. not that i'm comparing the 2.
Yeah he needs to attack them, be aggressive at them, hopefully STD keeps the ride.
and another question while i've got you're attention, la prima donna is she a novice?

Regarding LPD, not won before end of last April, she’s a novice as far as this season is concerned yes.

Yep, with the exchange price, would not have to part with much to find out, I like the horse and have him for Supreme, but a few bob on exchange does no harm in case.

Yeah Charlie did say keep him to two miles this year, but step up eventually. But, if things unfold such that the Ballymore is winnable and the Supreme isn't, surely he'd be tempted. Particularly if he's taken in the Sidney Banks before hand. As you say, 80s on the exchange is a very fair price to have a saver on.

No Imagine or HMS Seahorse, so another crap race for him to dawdle around in!

Could be a nice start for Blue Sari for another crack at a Coral Cup though, given how unlucky he was when he came down back in 2021.

He’s also got an entry in the betfair hurdle. Dunno if it’s Willie checking his handicap mark ahead of Cheltenham mind

Is FV definitely not running at the DRF? Did the RP give a source?
