Just hope he’s Ballymore bound and not Supreme, it’s 50:50 really imo.
Sorry, it didn't word that great. I was potentially making up a stat about Ballymore winners having (winning/debut) form in 2m hurdles races. I'll look into it later if nobody can immediately tell me I've made it up

      From yesterday RP website.
Odd not picked up by anyone on twitter, surely that's a massive talking point..

Just off the top of my head Bob Olinger & Faugheen didn't have 2m winning form before winning their respective Ballymore races.

Also odd that it's just snuck in there in passing. Surely that's an article/headline in itself?

You've also got HMS Seahorse who is only rated officially 2lbs lower than Gaelic Warrior.

Let’s hope they all turn up.
Imagine has been a consistent yardstick this season so hopefully he’ll run and bring some substance. The only worry I have is that they’ve decided Imagine won’t be grade 1 material and put the handbrake on now.

Also worth bearing in mind that the Moscow Flyer is next apparently. Win there and he ticks your box. Lose and he's probably not good enough anyway.

Good start these! Have checked both as my memories shot.

Absolute freak Faugheen wasn't he. Ran in a 3 mile novice hurdle on heavy ground. Seems an odd decision on what he went on to achieve but obviously didn't effect him!

Bob O started in a 2 mile hurdle behind Ferny, which I now remember. So you're right he never won one but he did at least start/run in one.

Above is also interesting of course. If he's to run over 2 miles next, then it's really a really pointless thought of mine...

Willoughby Court, who is probably a fairer assessment as this years Ballymore is looking about as strong as the one he won

                    • I suppose the only negative is he didn’t start in PtP’s in terms of trends for the Ballymore.

Aye, good one this. Good example of the Challow winner placing and not winning even in a crap renewal as well... That was going to be my next stat to make up or take on As they seem to place a lot!

It is the stat, p2p winner, bumper winner, graded hurdle winner that she would meet if winning the solerina that has me worried.
Now someone has pointed out that shattered love, trained by gordon, ran in the ballymore, and surprise surprise, she won a p2p, a bumper and the solerina.
so HDT could quickly become the exact type gordon sends to the ballymore irrespective of whether they are a mare.
Do i think she has a turn of foot? Not exactly. but she's shown enough speed to win a bumper and hurdle race over the minimum trip, so she's obviously quick. And having backed her for the mares novice i'm looking at the 50's for the ballymore with unibet and considering dusting off an old account i haven't used in a while.

I quite like this thought process.

I do like Halka Du Tabert as well. 50/1 is fair enough.

Only two doubts I have are will Gordon want to put another mare into the Ballymore after the way Shattered Love ran, and also the owner, he seems keen to stick to same sex races where possible and until they've proven it at the top level before moving them out into open company against the boys.

Think he may be getting confused with Marine Nationale. Poor if he is. Surely Willie would have been quoted by now ? He has said that he doesn't want to over train him but at the same time an extra run would surely help him ? Perhaps he's just thinking long term. Doesn't want to ask too much of him now and mind him for several seasons to come.
