have to love his attitude, only two starts and the horse just wants to win, step up in trip will suit
80/1 the two races with Hills.

He doesn't strike me as a Stayer and Mullins said last season that he could be his 2m horse this year but you could be right.

        • From Davy Russell Festive Review....

'The winners kept coming for Willie and he landed the next with Facile Vega in the Future Champions Novice Hurdle. It’s never easy to take the huge step up from a maiden hurdle (which is in essence a schooling exercise) to a Grade One. However, this fella did that and got the job done. If you wanted to crab him you could say that he wasn’t overly fluent, but he’s still unbeaten. What I would say though is he’s no certainty to stay at two miles so be careful if you fancy him strongly for the Supreme.'

            • I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere but something I noticed yesterday, and i'm not sure if it has any significance or is of any interest to anyone but Robbie Power was interviewed on ITV's racing coverage before the tolworth, he appears to be HDB's race planner now, and when asked if it was his idea to bring arctic bresil over or something along them lines he said something like, no,no it was petes idea. Appearing to quickly pass the buck. Now i'm presuming he means the owner, P.Davies, now this would make sense, given he has horses with venetia williams and Frero banbou also ran at sandown yesterday.
I found it interesting and had me wondering did the rest of the team really want to take him to sandown rather than the moscow flyer, I wouldn't rule out an entry in that all being well with the horse.

              • He's the owners racing manager, after being his retained jockey, for about a year before he retired.

                Not the trainers.

He is Henry’s race planner isn’t he? Certainly was at the start of the season.

Like Kevin Blake is for Joseph ?

Never knew that, assumed it was for Robcour only.

That could change my opinion on some of Henry's coming over here mid-season.

Yeah. I assume so. Although from interview snippets, Robbie seems to be more involved with training too.

At the start of the season I remember reading an interview with him where he said he was relishing the role because he knows the calendar so well.

Yeah I have seen a recent article where he was also referred to HDB's race planner, again i'm not sure how accurate the article is but ITV also introduced him as his race planner and he didn't correct them.

He's obviously got too much time on his hands now !

                          • Odd that all three big guns of Henry's that have travelled over this season have all run exactly the same......APT, Envoi and now Arctic Bresil. Something in the water ?

                              • Money coming this morning for Grangeclare West. Bit for Champ Kiely too. Irish Point drifting, surprised as a few tipsters put Irish Point up.

What is everyone hoping for in this race? Do you think targets will become clear after? Suppose trainers comments could be key after the race!
