Be interesting what the official going is and times of races. He definitely isn’t that bad, I think his debut showed enough that that wasn’t his true running today. He hurdles perfectly, same as he did on debut and then just found zilch going to the second last.
First 2 races were quicker than last year's corresponding races. Interesting to see how the Challow stacks up timewise.

    • A machine who has looked vulnerable over hurdles and the Royal Bond winner. Maybe it is the year the Royal Bond trend is broken. But really opens up for a shock on the day or something to come out in the next handful of weeks and throw the race open.

        20s with Coral

It sounds like he's a bit of a head case at home judging by Gary Moore's interview.

I've had a nibble at it.

That's where my heads been at for a while tbh. Royal Bond holds the key this year for me. Don't think you'd be far off backing the first 3 geldings home in that race. Champ Kiely offers plenty of value at 33/1 as a Mullins 2nd string. Irish Point could easily improve and Marine Nationale looked good in winning. Then maybe get a cover on the fav on the day of the race, one bookie will be doing silly prices the fav.

Think that would be rather foolish going on his last run.

Agree with those talking about the Royal Bond as the key race at this stage.

                        • Over the the Irish challengers then. Arctic Bresil v Impaire Et Passe in the Moscow Flyer could well see a new second fav.

Agree, surely a no brainer….. seems clear no one knows how good he is, inc the trainer!!
Its clear what we just seen and no idea on his favoured going but he certainly ain’t bothered about soft!!

Just looked at that now. Was only 3 seconds quicker than the handicap with the handicap winner carrying a stone more than the novice race.

They seemed to be going a decent pace in the novice race to my eye, commentator seemed to say as much.
