  • Letsbeclearaboutit turned out quickly, that .1.29 Limerick race looks a good one. I'm keen on Hiddenvalley Lake so will be interesting how the former runs today.

He's 100/1 today and AB. Either he wins this and goes there or he doesn't win and is a handicap plot imo. Cashed out my 0.75pt ew 33/1 voucher today for 0.5pts on him, Favori 66/1 and Kalanisi 50/1 all same race win today and AB - hopefully one of them wins to give me run for my money now!

I dont think it was a plot like Gordy would usually do imo, Cromwell has always said he was aiming for the Albertt Bartlett. If doesn't win here he might be well handicapped and one I would be interested in if goes that route. I actually have cash on him already so would like to see him win today. But also considering adding Kalanisi to my book as think its the likely winner today and price will drop!

….the race features in Saxon’s Race Planner. It has featured a number of AB winners, most recently Vanillier who came 2nd in this.

            • That ride on kalanisi star was abysmal

Was it though? Or was he just not good enough? Never travelled or jumped from a very early stage.

No, the training decision to run him over 3m in a bog was abysmal. He's shown a turn of foot in a bumper and a turn of foot over 2m hurdle race, I can't believe they saw him as a Bartlett animal tbh.

                  • Poor jumping put paid to his chance. Going down in trip will only exacerbate the problem.

Hold up over 3 miles in a heavy ground limerick? Doesn't make sense to me

He never made any ground from his position regardless

                        • Favori de champdou is a definite player in the bartlett.
That took some getting today, it always does.
not priced up by many yet though so patience is probably best.

Hills had him at 25's prior and now into 16's - which I think is fair.
Obviously the 66-1 win today was available pre race as advertise by - eggs & co (sexy 70's reference for you older types) Sarah Brightman - problem with her when she started dating Andrew Lloyd Weber was picturing his face all the time.

                          • We might have a race in the Supreme. I think FVs hurdling was better this race than last time but he didn't pull away like I thought he would. Ashroe Diamond finished well after not really being in it.

couldn't agree more, patrick kept it out the back and was just riding to pick up 2nd or 3rd, if he had put it in the race would have given facile vega a race.

                              • Have to say, Facile’s jump at the last was very poor - and he came off the bridle. Will be interesting to see his RPR and times - not sure they’ll be that good…
