Facile booked for 2 miles at the minute.
That's how I see it now after initially thinking Ballymore for him.

I can't see him beat before the festival, so it's likely Supreme all the way now.

My original opinion was concluded by his mothers influence over the intermediate trip and the fact I couldn't see a serious proposition for Willie in the Ballymore. He now has two options, at the very least, IMO.

I haven't got him covered for either race at the moment, so out of interest and based on what we know now, what price would you need to back him for Bally?

I had a small amount on at 25-1 on exchange.
Other than that NRNB would be best, just in case things conspire that way, such as injuries to others etc and willie having other 2 milers come to light.

So I wouldn't back Facile for the ballymore at the moment at less than double figures. And probably not at all.

Bearing in mind I have posted before why I have in the past taken a break from here, it’s a bit of a stupid thing to say. But I guess he’s right in the fact my contribution to FJ is minimal these days compared to when I commented on every thread, created the ‘judge of a good judge’ betting comp, etc. Which is a shame but so many other regulars have left too. It’s just the way of the world.

I recommend you and anyone who's not seen it - watches - Bill Burr - Paper Tiger (netflix)

It's funny how a lot of the audience interpret it in different ways.
Only he really knows for sure what is meant.
And no one can be blamed for how they percieve it.
But it's always a good idea to turn it around and consider the other theory or interpretation, before making conclusions.
Because your original perception can sometimes be wrong.

If you’re genuinely saying you wasn’t looking for a bite yesterday, fair enough. I shall say no more about it

              • Did Sir G get a initial entry to the lawlors? Of memory I think he did.

                        • Mullins runners in this race for the last 7 years and where they ended up at Cheltenham:

2022: Whatdeawant - Ballymore (2m4 maiden winner before Lawlors)
2021: Blue Lord - Supreme (2m maiden winner)
2020: Elixir D'Ainay - Supreme (2m3 maiden winner than tried over 2m6 at the DRF before dropping to 2m)
2019: Tornado Flyer - didn't go to Cheltenham Come to Me - didn't go to Cheltenham
Getareason - Martin Pipe (multiple runs over 2m4 and further beforehand)
2018: Next Destination - Ballymore (2m3 winner beforehand)
Duc Des Genievres - Ballymore (2m2 winner in France and this was his Irish debut)
2017: Turcagua - Albert Bartlett (ran over 2m4 and 2m6 beforehand and was 66s at Cheltenham)
Augusta Kate - Albert Bartlett (2m7 winner beforehand)
                          2016: Bellshill - Supreme (2m and 2m4 winner beforehand)
Stone Hard - didn't go to Cheltenham

Not many Albert Bartlett runners in there, although going slightly further back Briars Hill won it and went to the AB.

The Supreme horses weren't his first choice in the Supreme that year.

The biggest thing is probably that none of them were Mullins best novice hurdlers in that year (maybe Next Destination could be classed as the best on hsi year but Mullins novices were poor that year and Getabird lost in the Supreme as 7/4 favourite) and we probably shouldn't be surprised FV hasn't been entered.

                          • Getabird is the horse I was trying to think of the other day when discussing gaelic warrior

Very talented novice hurdler but jumped to his right and was much better going right handed

He'd be an example of why I need to see gaelic Warrior left handed

As if he jumps as far right as he did in the boodles again I'd definitely be happy to swerve him for the festival

We'll see soon enough if he goes in the Lawlors!
