Yeah and I'm prepared for it to look very stupid so everyone should probably disregard it now but something is nagging at me and I've no idea what it is.

If geskille wins tomorrow I'll have Vega covered in both races, if not I won't have him covered so it won't matter financially if I'm wrong at least!

Don't think it's stupid at all - they both get decent write ups and quotes about them are glowing:

QdP - "he looks like an irish p2p horse, a gorgeous big horse - we love him and we're thinking later on about chasing. He's just a really good looking horse, very correct"

Parmenion: "Mullins invariably leaves odd the three year old purchases from the flat from mid summer onwards and brings them back as 4 yo the following season. Arctic Fire and Saldier were G1 winning hurdlers by Soldier Hollow trained by Mullins and it is possible that Parmenion will be added to that list one day, he could be very good and bound for the Fez opener in March."

Wouldn't surprise me to see Parmenion run in the 4yo maiden at Leopardstown on 26th Dec which State Man fell in last year and Klassical Dream won on his way to winning the Supreme

        • Does anyone have knowledge on IMMORTAL running tomorrow for the Henderson yard. Is there any excitement regarding his entry? Notably its the same debut race as Constitution Hill. Would have to be pretty special to beat authroised speed first time out mind you. Do many novices run 140rpr first time out? (likey would need to do so to win?)

He was due to make his debut for us at Ascot a fortnight ago, but he was withdrawn due to the ground. I imagine there will be plenty of ease in it here, though. We have been very pleased with what we have seen of him at home and hopefully he will give a good account of himself, though the experience of a race will obviously not be lost on him as he makes his debut. Authorised Speed sets a pretty high standard for us to aim at, too.

He’s a very handsome chap who’s always shown up quite nicely at home and has been ready to go for a while but hasn’t been able to run due to the fast ground because he’s a big brute of a horse. We were going to go down the bumper route but decided to abandon that and go straight over hurdles. He was with us last spring for some valuable education and has done everything we’ve asked so far. This looks a good race, and he will improve for the run, but I’m hopeful he can still put up a decent show and if he can finish in the money it will be mission accomplished. We may have won this with Constitution Hill last year and I’m sure many people will be wanting to make comparisons, but let’s not!

Although Henderson has farmed this race over the years, it’s not always been with a Superstar. Quite often the winner of this race has not even turned out to be his best novice for that season.

Kind of makes no difference. Either way.
And this type of stat/comment was mentioned last year.

The new stat is he runs his "Greatest hurdler of all time" in this race !

He'll either be decent or not, or somewhere in between.
On balance it'll be somewhere in between.

is this not stating the obvious Q, he has to be one of the 3 surely?

                    • Authorised Speed won pretty handily. Quite slow over a couple of hurdles and made a hash of the last. Tolworth next then could be either of the Supreme or Ballymore.

Threw him at the last when he's well clear. Odd.

                            • Dunno whether Gary Moore buys these horses because they are lunatics or he turns them a bit bonkers

                              • Authorised Speed just had his form franked a little in the race at aintree (very different mind)
But for supporters it's another plus.
Probably deserves to be shorter in the betting, especially as he might go off FAV or close to it for the Tolworth.
