I’m hoping for the same, Path D’oroux opened up 12/1 with WH, I hooved up as much of that as possible, he should appreciate a truely run race!

Either that or up him to the Albert if he's outpaced as I think he might be this weekend. Willie said this race will help them decide. Also depends on where Vega goes.

Agree completely. He'll ensure its a proper test alright.

I was torn between Supreme and Ballymore for Facile. But I’ve come to my way of thinking that with Champ Kiely and Grangeclare West looking very decent animals over 2m4 then these 2 could very easily cover the Ballymore and Bartlett between them leaving Facile as the Supreme winner elect.

Have done CK/GW cross doubles and a cross treble using Facile in the Supreme.

Not sure who I'd land on for Sunday yet.

Not especially keen on Champ Kiely

Is Marine Nationale actually that good? Demandrivingdouvan looks and absolute boat so his beating of him isn't as impressive as it first seemed.

Irish Point still looks a bit underdeveloped to me. I'd expect him to improve from the last race but I think he needs more time.

Path D'Oroux - Cromwell will have some idea of how he compares to Inothewayurthinkin and through Imagine, Hercule Du Seuil.

I think both of those could run big races.

12s on Path DOroux could look big.

                • …..14-1 Champ Kiely has seemingly gone for Ballymore, now a best price 10-1.

Could be a very astute move

                    • one thing that I'm cautious of is willie can stick with the distance they've won over - like he did with appreciate it. if kiely wins the royal bond well I think its more likely he'll stay at 2m. if he doesn't win well/loses he'll be tried at 2m4

                      • I'd imagine what FV does tomorrow (and beyond) will have a huge influence on where CK goes, and the rest of Mullins novice hurdlers for that matter.

Wouldn't be backing any of his others for the Supreme ATM personally.

The way Champ Kiely won his hurdle debut over 2m5 on the bridle suggests he could easily be Willies No.1 for the Ballymore or Potato. Thus keeping it simple for Vega to run on the Tuesday

Yep. He's a proper pain in the ass that Vega !! Can't get stuck into anything with confidence until we know where he'll be going and that won't be until decs time I suspect.

                            • I've got this weird feeling - and it's a complete hunch based on nothing concrete - that Willie's number 1 supreme runner may not yet have run in his name. Parmenion and Quais De Paris would be the two most likely if I'm right.

Never warmed to champ kiely, he'd be a very un Mullins like winner of the supreme/Ballymore.

The uncertainty makes me glad I'm not really focussing on the novice hurdles this year though!

Big shout that Odin, ahead of potentially a big marker to be placed down tomorrow in Facile Vega.
