Penhill won the same race and went on to win the Albert. He's already won over 2m 5f this season as well.
He does look a classy individual.

Yes he was impressive , wasn't expecting him to be featuring in the Supreme market this early !!.
Only have him backed for the Al Bartlett.

I imagine they'll go up in grade now for something like the Royal Bond but he may find himself outclassed at G1 level depending upon what turns up.

Then onto the 2m6 at the DRF and onto the Bartlett
Penhill went Fairyhouse over 2 then Limerick over 3 at Xmas then onto Albert. Be interesting if this guy takes same path.

Fair points. Ruby talking about potential tilt at the Royal Bond. Not sure how much of that is from a position of knowledge and how much speculation, but if he went to the Royal Bond it would suggest a campaign over shorter distances.

Definitely one to keep an eye on either way!

I've only backed him Albert as well as I can't see taking on and beating the likes of Facile Vega and Mullins other top of the class Novices over 2 or 2 1/2m. Happy to wait to see where he goes next.

                • Penhill also won today's race by 4 1/2 lengths. Champ Keily is Penhill in disguise. Might ask for a Stayers price for 2024.

Might be able to get the spud race - stayers double

                      I was kidding
I'd want 5000/1 minimum to call that double

Would be some spectacular scenes in the Lobos household

                        • Proper pain in the ass Champ Keily. Adds another Novice to Mullins Bingo game. Where does he get them all from !

                          • Nice enough performance from Hercule Du Seuil there, for WPM. Probably not one with a seat at the top table of novice hurdlers this season, but I'll be sure to keep a close eye on him for handicaps down the line. Bred to get further too.

                            • Worth noting that the handicaps for novices require 4 runs now (I think?!) and that's potentially why willie has a few out earlier than usual

Yeah, exactly. Think that was Hercule's 3rd run now, including the one in France, so plenty of time for him
