3rd in an Italian derby, 2nd in a french listed race now trained by a certain wpm.
I'm struggling to find any mention of him in his stable tours, he does have an entry at xmas.
Definitely, seams to have flown under the radar abit the future champions hurdle entry. Came from the same sale as QDP too. If he can jump he has the speed to back it up.

If I recall correctly he was purchased to be a dual purpose horse. I couldn’t have the sire over jumps either.

So despite the entry, I’m ooooot.

      • Support for Gaelic Warrior recently, I see Simon Rowlands has him backed in a article recently. Also saw mention of Gavin given him as a possible selection, any news on this?

Also is there link of mullins hinted ballymore/supreme after last years festival. Apparently one was mentioned.

Sorry if I'm repeating old top topics. Appreciate any replys. Cheers.

Mullins said Ballymore immediately after the Boodles. So unlike Mullins to be definitive of a target that far out. Almost sounded like it was a pre-hatched plan i.e. if he doesn't win we'll go Ballymore next year.

That being said, the Stable Tours this year implied that all 3 novice hurdles are potential destinations.

          • Probably been said already but didnt G Warrior just got out speeded up the home straight, i couldnt have him at 2 miles in a supreme for that reason.

              • Think I'd like to see how he goes left handed before parting with any money

More interested in grangeclare west at this stage for the ballymore

It looked far more like running out of gas that being out speeded. Cheltenham was Brazil's 5th start of the season last year and fitness told IMO. I think GW is the better of the two now, but its encouraging seeing Brazil running to a respectable level so far this season.

                    The Freshness v Fitness debate.
Had GW won the boodles would that have been because he was a fresher horse ?
And Brazil had had one race too many ?

                    Just playing
                    All guesswork really.

                    Definitely wasn't outspeeded though (I guess )
He seemed to lose the race becasue he was a bit Daft/excited or whatever.
However, Brazil didn't have the best of luck during the race either.

I don't think being fresh as a 4 year old carries too much weight to be honest. Makes sense why trainers do it with seasoned campaigners that know their job, but fresh to me for a 4 year old equals inexperience which as you point out, told in the end.

                      • Inexperienced, first run over British Hurdles, first run for trainer, first time jockey rode him at racetrack, fitness, big field, first time at track, jumped right, made hash of last hurdle. All adds up.

                        • The negatives
not that inexperienced really having had 3 runs in France.
the big field and Cheltenham atmosphere or track was probably a first for 90% of the field.
And he had pole position and the best jockey and trainer helping him.
he caused the winner no end of issues and still got chinned by him.
he had plenty of time to still win after going right at the last.
he looked like he was out battled in the finish
he ran off a mark of 129 !!

I have backed him though and hope he can improve a lot. But he needs too.
not convinced with the 150 RPR but it’s encouraging that’s for sure.

                              • Just watched the boodles back

He must've cost Brazil almost ten lengths in that race and still lost to him

Brazil got badly impeded at the 2nd hurdle, losing 4 or 5 places

Then impeded him at 3 out and badly at 2 out

Jumped markedly to the right at times

I'd definitely need to see him going left handed before thinking about him for a Cheltenham race.

He may well be very good, but if he can't jump straighter round a left handed track he will never be near his best going that way round.
