Yeah, when I read that I thought great, it's over 2m4f that Cash Back won last season, then I saw it was over 2m

    • Nice analysis Aaron lad. Authorised Speed ran his race 1 second quicker in total than Love Envoi but the Mare was carrying 5lbs more so I'll be interested in his run more in respect of marking up Love Envois performance.

Authorised Speed at 25/1 is the shortest UK runner isn't he in the Supreme market? Almost feel like it's an auto bet scenario as fav for the Tolworth
Possibly but as exar essay points out Rare edition would beat him in the supreme. There's an article on sporting life about authorised speed. Gary moore seems surprised how well he performed at lingfield, I wasn't. He also mentions he wants a stamina test or something long them lines. Last tolworth winner to be tried in the ballymore?

        • I'll watch them back later... Rare Edition / Authorised Speed / Arctic Bresil all 25/1 make some sense for the scatter gunner in me... although I'll read my own update from last time and try and talk myself out of it

Some on here like him from his Kempton performance.

If AB doesn't win the Tolworth would you expect the winner to head the English challenge in the Supreme?

              Rare Edition looks very smart.

Murphy has two nice looking types in Chasing Fire and Strong Leader who could possibly be in the Itchy Feet/Thomas Derby scenario at a price. I'd prefer them both to the one he's actually running in the Tolworth although I think he's in the main, the worst achieving trainer going relative to money spent.

Nicholls only has Tahmuras and that will be contingent on Saturday, Nicky looks to have nothing unless Jet Powered comes back, Skelton has nothing.

Hansard looks good for Moore - was impressed with him last time. Givega looks to need a bog, but is clearly talented.

              Outside of that, struggling!

              • The without Facile Vega market people like for the UK horses I'm not sure of... not sure there is an edge to that, unless people believe FV is head and shoulders clear of everything in Ireland and the UK horses slot in next?

If Arctic Bresil gets walloped maybe that's an angle?

She ran a huge race that day. subsequent results for others have shown this to be true.

Even if Arctic Bresil is walloped you've still got Marine Nationale, Impaire Et Passe & Irish Point from Ireland to finish ahead of, all of which arguably have achieved more than Arctic Bresil so far too.

Someone mentioned earlier that with QDP looking like a step up was needed then Ricci might want to split them with G Warrior going Supreme. Makes sense in view of his entries and the fact they initially saw him as a Supreme horse last season. Also Ricci might not be so scared of Vega after his semi underwhelming run last time.

I like that option especially doing EW. If Vega finishes anywhere in the first 3 then there are still 3 places to play for in the 'without' market.

I know Ricci has a racing manager, but I'm really not sure either of them have much say so of where his horses go. Yes, I'm sure Willie speaks to them, but I do think it ends up in the hands of Willie and not what Ricci thinks. On this basis I'll be surprised if Gaelic Warrior goes anywhere but the Ballymore, provided he proves good enough.

                          • Given that they seem to think qdp is a lot better than he showed at Tramore, I think he could be one that could get a nice mark for the county/pipe.

has two runs on the board now, maybe finish midfield in one of the grade 1s at the drf, along with one more run somewhere and he could end up very well in if he’s as good as they seem to think.

Yea would make sense if Ricci wants a supreme candidate and QDP needs the trip. Mullins did refer to G.Warrior being sharp enough for 2m in early stable tours.

                                6-1 Fav for the pipe.
