    In terms of his chances.
I honestly don't think it matters a whole lot.
And given the connections and the performances of his horses from such a small team, I'd be quite happy he's away getting special treatment for a while
However, I expect one or two rivals will have garnered more experience that may help them though.

    So....

I guess he also has limited opportunities now too. But I’d still have preferred a run if I had backed him. I’ve been warming to him recently and don’t have a penny on him so I’m hoping that I’m taking an objective stance. He wasn’t even on any of my shortlists either so I really missed the boat on him.

Just for your future reference, only french hurdles races count towards the hurdle handicap mark, not french flat races

        • Il Etait Temps given +7 for getting too close to Facile Vega. Now rated 144 for anyone considering him for one of the handicaps. Obviously he's a novice so could run in one of the G1s but I'd imagine he's in no man's land now...

            • Just watched Good Land’s win back from yesterday, very curious to see what RPR he’s given. Visually I’m quite taken with the performance and the way he extends the winning distance in the final furlong makes me think he’d be competitive in the Ballymore.

                • Jet Powered 4/11 tomorrow! I know he should win but that’s a terrible price against some horses who could potentially be smart themselves.

                      Jet Powered (Nico De Boinville)

The aim has always been to be patient and go steady with him because he’s quite an ‘enthusiastic’ horse at home which is why we aren’t putting him straight in at the deep end and I don’t want to overface him at this stage of his career. That said, he is a very nice horse, as we all saw last time, and I hope he will develop into a high class animal. This is another part of the learning process and we’ll know more after this.

I was asked about him in the Unibet Q & Awe did before Christmas and I said then let’s not carried away and run before we can walk with him. Yes, he was very impressive here on his hurdling debut and we think very highly of him – and so do the bookmakers who have him as second or third favourite for the Supreme – but let’s not forget the form of the race is not that strong, with the third and fifth well beaten since, and he still has plenty to prove. But we could not have asked any more from him there and he excites us. He carries a 5lb penalty in a better race here, so let’s see.

Think we'll need more than that crossed. Hopefully he improves on what he did on debut which will be good enough for him to cement his Supreme place.

I have no evidence to back that up...but it's my gut, and I'm at least average at online poker so that makes me an expert at reading people.

We'll have to get it sorted, or host a fat jockey tourny. I'm sure we could get a few interested.
