I must admit I've never taken to GDC and that for me has pushed that point to me more. I think if you can get some real early pace on him he will struggle. Don't get me wrong he's a good horse clearly but I think he's been treated as this bombproof horse and don't see that as the case at all

I'm not sure I see Galopin Des Champs being more suited to the Gold Cup test.
I thought he'd absolutely wallop them over 3m today if he was going to be a superstar.
He's won easily enough, but not a wow moment by any stretch. I see he's been pushed out with PP after it too.

The way he was off the bridle before the last didn't look sexy at all.
But he did pick up OK.
He's no good thing though, far from it.
7-2 a decent price, and we may get that on the day in a very trappy renewal.

He got 2 taps and went away, he's beaten the second favourite 8 lengths and to me Stattler wasn't really closing after the last

To my eye, he didn't jump brilliantly and didn't pull away from Stattler after the last (first impressions and i do need to watch it again). If they go hard in the GC they might just get him at it. At the moment, I want to take him on.
I'm not seeing that
Paul was just letting him pop the fences today trying to keep him as relaxed as possible
There's no doubt if he needed to jump better he could
