Yes very nice, I'd lay off the stake at the current 7/1 though, have that as a free bet. I didn't see the case made at 150/1 (guessing it was a special) but I wasn't on here much as I'm sure you noticed

As of yet, their liabilities ante post are very high.
The bookmakers won’t be losing too much sleep over ‘high profile’ absentees as you’ve mentioned because in truth, in my view, we’ve hardly ‘lost anyone’ bar L’homme and Ferny Hollow, but it’s those 6 horses that the bookmakers are praying for the dreaded ‘WhatsApp ping’ from now until the festival’
GDP’s 5/4 price is indicative of his liability thus far - L’homme Presse’s ‘removal’ from the market I sincerely wouldn’t believe is ‘high profile’ for any bookmaker pre festival.
They need the ‘Big Guns’ out.

if I could have 1/5 on you commenting on one of my observations/ being notified on anything I write on here, I’d have to have a mild consideration on placing at least part of my mortgage on here.
You are ‘all reaction’ when the truth remains clear out with the bookmakers - no horse yet named as being ‘out of the festival’ is worrying them as a liability.
I only write my opinion with a markets truth of what horses are seriously concerning each bookmaker, should they prevail at the festival, at an ante post price.
Bookmakers want ‘high profile’ odds on favourites beaten.
Every.
Single.
Race.
I’m sorry to ‘surpass myself’ Mr Q, and I hold you on high regard as a member here.
But money talks more than anything else with each & every bookmake. As of yet, every horses ‘market omission’ we know of pre festival isn’t doing them any harm whatsoever.

I would agree, that, as individual market’ ‘L’homme Presse’ being omitted is of a ‘relative’ consequence to this market, but at 8/1, a bookmaker wouldn’t be concerned any day of the week by it’s omission as ala a liability, whether it’s the blue riband event at Cheltenham or a maiden hurdle at Clonmel.
They need those big guns I’ve mentioned out and not running.
When the bookies heard of L’homme Presse being out last night, they’d be raising a gentle smirk, at best.
If news arrives before 3.30pm on the 17th March that GDC isn’t running, freebie Christmas hols to Barbados & beyond will be the order of the day before the Foxhunter’s horses half an hour later have even gone to post.

This sort of insight should really be behind a paywall. Might be one for the members section?

FJs this is tiresome.
Surely everyone is entitled to their say provided they’re not causing offence.
If you don’t like something maybe it’s better to just ignore it.
I promise you I’m not a delicate flower but the sarcasm is not very pleasant to read and totally unnecessary.
It smacks of bullying/ trying to hound someone out to my mind.
How about we try to cut it out and concentrate on what we’re all here for - picking some good priced winners to bash the bookies rather than picking on each other.
If you don’t like this post I’m sorry but someone has to call it out in my book.
This is a cracking forum, the bar is set high. Let’s keep it that way and extend a bit of tolerance to each other.

If you don’t agree with a post then simply leave it alone or reply as you would expect your post to be replied to.
To many people on here believing they are better than certain people, when at the end of the day apart from Kev, Spectre and Jonno who put their faces out there, we are all Keyboard warriors with different opinions and strategies regarding antepost betting.
Just take a minute before replying and think would you like to be on the end of certain comments......
This is the best forum by a country mile for horse racing so let’s keep it that way
