Hello Fat Jockeys,

  • Might be a mistake on Oddschecker but Ahoy Senor has opened 5/4 with PP but is 5/2 with Hills for Many Clouds Chase

Now Evens. Hope a few might have got on. Hoping he takes a big step forward from last time and gets firmly back in the GC picture.

    • I meant to say that in Mark Howard's November update, Capodanno was reported as having issues with his wind and he may have undergone work to rectify that - that may explain lack of entries plus the update also highlighted his preference for better ground, again may go someways to explain why he won't be out anytime soon

Willie might have the Al Boum Photo route planned for Capodanno.
Don't think Tramore entries are out yet, are they ?

I’d say that’s a good shout be taking on Minella Indo as I’m sure HDB said he was thinking of going that route, so would be a good test into open company before the DRF where his gold cup credentials would be put to the test.

If they do both run in that, along with anything else decent then the "win today" odds might be decent.
Be a bit sharp of a test for Minella I reckon.

Mullins has said GDC might go to Tramore if the ground at Leopardstown is too sharp over Xmas.

                • Last I heard, GDC was headed for the Durkan. If he goes there, it would be a surprise if he goes to either Leopardstown or Tramore. It tends to be a minimum 4 weeks between races for him so DRF then Cheltenham possibly more likely.

Glad to read this That Horse !!., As someone who is probably over invested in capodanno for the Gold Cup.
I must admit i started to worry , when the chat came up about lack of entries . and Injury possibilities .
The fact that willie mullins mentioned he could be a gold cup horse , makes me think that he has some sort of plan .
Mapped out for Capodanno . , One run at the D.R.F and straight to the Gold Cup ??. , .
Or ... One for next year ??..

                      • If Emmet can win a Gold cup with Noble Yeats then he's genius.
The speical with hills boosted to 150-1 was value after all.

Don't think I've ever seen a 3 mile chaser quicken like that before. Very impressive. Ahoy Senor definitely not right.
