The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Galvin, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

EA has had 2 wind operations. Without knowing what they were it's hard to be too dogmatic about it but I'll happily let him run and win without carrying the handicap of my money. Could go again at any time especially in pressure situations. Even as it stands, yesterday's form is nowhere near good enough to win a Gold Cup. All that it does is make Allaho even more likely to contest the Ryanair.

Given how poorly he tends to run first time out I was quite happy with Conflated finishing a close third there. He didn't jump badly but wasn't overly fluent, but travelled into the final stages well. I think he just got tired, but still managed to run to an RPR of 164 finishing a close 3rd. He tends to improve as the season goes on and I think 40/1 EW is not a bad bet for the GC at all.

Ruby suggesting Envoi could’ve won by further had Rachel not made mistakes on board. Definitely worth a watch. His analysis is just different gravy.

Not even that surprised by APT today, been a strange day of racing. Only regret is I didn't get Protektorat in my book before the race, I'd hoped he'd be beaten today.
