He wont get away with those mistakes at the top level in open company

If it has improved he could be very good, if it hasn't he may well struggle
Completely agree. Cut out those novicey errors and the world could be at his feet. Was at Newbury when he won his first chase and he simply destroyed them despite errors. He made errors including one bad one at a crucial time in the BANC but still ran a superb race in difficult Conditions. His performance though at Aintree was sensational and he showed there what he can do when foot perfect. He's a very exciting horse and one who's racing style I find a thrill to watch. Heart in mouth sometimes but brilliant.

He was still very average jumping wise at Aintree, he just got away with it because lhomme presse and BMG were over the top and ran no race

You'd have to hope they've done plenty of schooling

He's such a big brute he isn't quick enough on his feet to pop a fence if he meets it on a bad stride

He can ping them on a good stride but he makes 2 or 3 errors in every race

        • AS could be pulled, ground?
Do we really think both will turn up?

A tough start in the Charlie Hall but I do think he'll win convincingly and go top of the English challengers to the Irish.
I think Lucinda might be surprised to hear that her stable is in England

Ground will be perfectly ok. Genuine Good/Soft with rain forecast most days. Good starting point for both and fits timewise .

I Like Ahoy Senor too , , But i just have that feeling , that he's more suited to a Flat Track.
My money's on him for the Coral Gold Cup in November ( Hennessey).

Completely agree. The undulations of Chelts seems to put him off his stride.

                      • Hard to say Cheltenham doesn’t suit him after only one run there as a novice, no? I really hope we see him v Bravemansgame this Saturday. Two horses I really liked last season.

                        • I also agree that he’s not as suited to Cheltenham compared to other tracks but he wouldn’t disgrace himself in the Gold Cup.

I think he will place in that and then gain an Aintree hatrick when pissing up in the Bowl.

Absolutely. Just one run at Cheltenham and he only finished 2nd in the BANC............
