Thats in a different parish to what's going to be required here.

If it were a weak Gold Cup then perhaps I could look at 7/1 and think 'that's fair', but its not weak, not at all.

I'd have 4 horses that are just better animals - GDC, LHP, BMG and Conflated (I haven't even mentioned APT)

I'd have 4 more hovering around the same sort of ability level - Stattler, Protektorat, Minella Indo, Hewick.

It's such a competitive race I'd pause for thought backing Noble Yeats at 14's, much less half that.

Someone somewhere must have put him up. Probably Tom the hack Segal. Another reason to oppose.
I agree with all of this, and we could both be proven wrong but he's way too short.
The exchange, if i'm correct, I haven't been looking at them long, also show's money waiting to be layed at short enough prices.

Whole Gold Cup market is a piss take for me, last time I looked Spreadex and Boyle Sports had a 7/4 fav and nine, yes nine, horses all 10/1 or under.
A new level of value of this....

Then this year use him like a Gold Cup contender.

This could be true, but my point is there both horses that have shown similar level of improvement, and are priced completely differently.

This year, more than ever, horses get shortened but not pushed out. L'Homme Presse would've been 12/1 after the King George, even last year. This year they pushed him out a point tops. Noble Yeats is a joke. Second fav on the exchange

Wouldn't know recently but, before his last win, Ruby tipped him for that race and said he could see him being a Gold Cup horse.

                  • I think Davy to win the big one on Conflated - and then hang up his silks for the final time - is now written in the stars.

I haven't backed him but I'll certainly be cheering for him if that's how it pans out.

                              • Gold Cup is becoming a bit of a puzzle unless Galopin is a star. Can’t have that price on Noble Yeats, Bravesman I have doubts about trip and course, need plenty of give for Protektorat, Plus Tard, hardly raced. More and more I think Stattler is the early pick ew.
