I had a nice treble with Marie’s in the mares and cash out was a little tempting, but now gone

Looks like Flooring Porter will be running here: https://www.irishracing.com/news/Flo...e-crown/238603
“We’re happy now and we’re on target to run,” said Cromwell.
“Obviously he missed a bit of work and that isn’t ideal, but we’re happy with him nonetheless. He’s in good form and hopefully now we can get him over there in one piece.
“With such an unideal prep, hopefully he doesn’t have as big a target on his back and we can be slightly under the radar.
“But we’re delighted to be getting him there — a month ago we were very unsure whether we would, so it’s great to be thinking he’s certainly going to run.”

Ive been doing a few multiples for her in the stayers when the talk started to build.
Some look ok……at the moment!!
Shes a major player if she comes here.

Annie Power couldn't win the Stayers Hurdle, so I don't think Marie's Rock will be good enough to
I actually think Marie's Rock would be my least favourite winner of anything at the festival, in this race.....
Totally from getting it wrong myself in terms of target. Thought Mares was a slam dunk target.
I usually would also applaud going for a proper race rather than a Mares race... which I do, through gritted teeth.
Backing her despite the drift to win last time, but not reaping the rewards ante post, is a bitter pill to swallow.
When I stop being biased and just look at her though, I don't think 5/1 is a good price at all still. Looks a deep race, so will probably get left unbacked, and inevitably become one of my least favourite horses in training when she sluices up
No offense intended for anyone on, or at fancy prices. I think you've just gotten lucky that a two-time Champion Hurdler is also going for the wrong race.... and I hope she comes up short

I personally think it's really poor of Henderson and Posh Boy trying to talk the owners into the stayers for Maries Rock.
It smacks of hypocrisy and selfishness.
It's usually trotted out by both that the Cheltenham festival is not the place to try something new. And you go for the race that's easiest blah de blah.
She's only really behind Honeysuckle on ratings in the Mares and that's doubtful based on this season.
She should be close to Favourite for the race.
And in the stayers she is likely to face at least 5 rivals that even with her allowance are rated better than her, in addition to one or two progressive types.
If Klassical Dream and Teahupoo line up she's facing 2 horses that beat Honeysuckle over 2m 4f anyhow.
I'm on at 10-1 but would rather she went to the mares personally. Especially as it looks like they are all turning up in the stayers.
She'd be available at about 7 or 8's I reckon if they all stand their ground.
But would be vying for favouritism with Honeysuckle in the mares.
If I owned the horse I'd tell them to get fucked.

She'd face a much stiffer task in the Stayers. the exchanges are strongly suggesting she going to take on the boys though.

She certainly don’t have a problem finishing her races strongly and her breeding suggests that maybe she should’ve tried 3m sooner.

But she could improve for the trip, I agree with that, and they may be proved right.
Or she gets beat and they run her against Epatante at aintree over 2 and a half

To be honest I’m not at all sure on the right race for her, but looking at the 2 races, I can see why the respective fields she would face, and the allowance she would have , could sway them towards the Stayers, especially as she does look very likely to be competitive at 3m and has the breeding to convince them to go there.

I haven't got a penny on Marie's Rock for either race but to me she'd have a good chance in either race so can see the case for both sides of the argument, though if Henderson didn't have Epatante for the mares she'd more than likely be running in that.
