BK should come on for that run too, and finally we’ve got a bit of interest at the top of the market.
      What's the plot?

For weeks he’s been saying BK is likely to miss the festival with some fairly dramatic language - price goes out to 16s or more.

BK then reappears unexpectedly for the Boyne and wins with loads in hand, and is now the Stayers favourite . I mean, surely that’s not just luck with his history of plots?

Ah nice, hadn't seen him to go out to 16s.

              • Cromwell with a positive update on Flooring Porter. Not guaranteed to get there, but sounds positive.

                • I'd have thought Byrnes & the owners would've prefered a full season taking in races like the christmas hurdle, galmoy hurdle & the hattons grace than getting a few extra points for a race in march myself, they must be minted to give up that prize money plus pay full training fees for 7 months for the extra few points for the stayers...not to mention the experience gained from running in those big open company contests & how that'd improve the horse physically & mentally...I could be wrong though.

I don't think that he did with anyone of significance. 10/1 to 12/1 with the main players and basically only for a few days in January. Neither was there any significant talk down of his chances, just 'probably only 50/50'.

Posts 207 and 284 show that I've been a public fan of the horse since November but he's absolutely the sort that you only do with nrnb. Nothing to do with Mr Byrnes, just his action and previous record.

Pushed out to 12s with SkyBet, 11s with 365, 10s with PP, BetVictor around 10th Jan, all back into single figures by the 23rd.

                      • I had a small double with BK & a flat horse on the 8th october and got 16's, it's actually turned out to cover a bit of the deadweight I have in my AP book.

                        • 888 had BK at 20/1 for a few days around mid October. Similar to when they pushed out Bob Olinger for the Turners last year to something daft (it was honoured, no issues).

                          • Maybe people would like to view the historic BK prices for themselves:

Nothing remotely suspicious in my view.

The idea that connections would be organising a coup in the Stayers while allowing the horse to go out from 5/2 to 5/1 for the Boyne is far-fetched in my view.

                            • I'm still happy to take on both Teahupoo & Blazing Khal, with Home By The Lee, Flooring Porter (should he make it) and Marie's Rock.

I think the best Irish form is Home By The Lee, obviously Flooring Porter is the reigning champ, just got to hope he makes it and I think on a line through Dashel Drasher, Marie's Rock is ahead of Gold Tweet, who probably has the best English form.

Feel exactly the same, didn't get on Home by the Lee before his last win unfortunately, but he's drifted on the exchange from a low of 3.8 to 9 without running due to BK and Teahupoo winning since. So now looks a really decent backable price at 8/1 with the best form in the book.
