We'd all have our favourite from that list mine is probably Barracouda, but arguably the best was surely Big bucks.
Incidentally as you're all probably aware it was an unseating in the hennessey that finally did for his chase career, his trainer paul nicholls reverting him to hurdles and the rest as they say is history. probably one of his best decisions as a trainer.

I found it very interesting that Gelino bello has been given a stayers hurdle entry. His chase career has certainly not gone as would've been hoped so far, after a couple of opening efforts where his jumping wasn't great and also jumped to the right markedly, he fell in the kauto star when never really looking comfortable jumping fences. jumping right wasn't evident over his hurdles, so it's something about the fences you'd think.
So after a good look at his hurdle runs, on the face of it he won a grade 1, albeit a weak one. He chased home blazing khal twice. so not bad really.

His first try at 3 miles at cheltenham he was ridden held up out the back, finished well enough but just never had enough to beat blazing khal. Maybe they were minding him, making sure he got home.
2nd try at 3 miles, grade 1 sefton novice. He was ridden much more prominently, up with skytastic, green book and stag horn. He jumped the last and when asked to put the race to bed he did, very nicely to my eye. the other 3 i mentioned ridden prominent up with the pace finished 8th,9th,10th beaten 30,32 and 47 lengths.
Now I got excited watching this by the 3rd time.

With the uncertainty surrounding blazing khal, his price is rather short. And i'd also like to think that gelino bello if ridden prominently in the stayers, he'd turn the tables with that 1 anyway. Flooring porter is the champ and the one to beat, but 20/1 nrmb @ hills 22/1 with boost gelino bello has entered the picture.
Paul nicholls isn't the type of trainer to enter a horse in a race at cheltenham if he didn't have it as part of his plan.
An entry in the cleeve hurdle is the next step.
Could history be about to repeat itself?
Paul nicholls has confirmed he will be an intended runner in the cleeve.
    Initially as a "confidence booster"
But if he runs very well, He could well go stayers.

Hey he could run like a donkey yet, but i'm hopeful he'll be ridden positively and I think we could see a very good performance.
just need the temperatures to get rising.

          • Nicholls quoted as saying Gelino Bello will run in the clever hurdle, and if he runs well then he might runs in the stayers”

25/1 with B365, backed and may double up if the price is right (TWAF)

            • Desperation: would have to be a really good run from Gelino in the Cleeve

Aaronlad has been saying the above for weeks. Info via his crystal ball.

                  • Blazing Khal is being cut fairly considerably by a good few firms, I wonder is Charles about to issue some positive news.

                    • Pp pushing out Klassical dream isn't a good sign! Although into silly season don't know how to read these drifts the best of times. But I'm assuming the worst!

Across the board on oddschecker but B365 still at 10s. My stayers without Flooring Porter looks desperate so have to take note/a plunge.

He is going to Cheltenham on the 28th of January. He is owned by a group of friends, and we thought it would be great fun to take him to England and see how good he really is compared to the English and Irish horses. He will run in a hurdle race. He is a horse that we bought for little money and who has been an absolute delight. He enjoyed a really good four-year-old season, a good, but tough season and his five-year-old season was even tougher. So, we thought, why not go to England? He has the right profile to race in the UK and we shall see how it goes. If he shows himself competitive, he might return for the Cheltenham Festival, but I think after this start he will have a bit of a break and then return to Auteuil. It’s my first starter in England.
