If it was a fracture,break it'd be out for the season,possibly for good,if it was a muscualr problem he'd not miss more than a few days as a physio would have already been working on the area,breathing..most ops are 24hr turnaround nowdays,bleeding he'd go on medication and continue to work through it,just probably be given some diaretics a few hours before going out and have his water removed until after working.
Yes I'm guessing but from a position of experience which helps...ever so slightly haha.

This race has become even more tricky
FP was the one realible horse that would have set the pace. This could be the same year when Penhill won, with a “sprint” up the hill
