Having his first run in march he will be much fitter than he would be running in november or december

He's also about a stone better in the spring

I'd trust Willie to get him there fit enough to win again

Not for me, sorry. He's going to go off very short... and there are reasons (more so than last season, and the season before) to take him on

He is a stone better than every other horse in the race which will help him

Have to see if he actually gets there first

I'd imagine Nicholls would be very tempted to run bravemansgame if allaho doesn't line up

Being bold on this, and think Bravemansgame will be a 'forgotten' horse come New Years evening. Nicholls has done wondered to get this horse winning some half decent pots, but.. the horse has come up again the Irish twice in his lifetime (correct me if I'm wrong), beaten in the Ballymore... beaten at Aintree

Excuses? Or just a small field, early season, GB based G2 horse

          Happy to be proven wrong...

He already mentioned the race after Wetherby for Bravemansgame anyway (the ryanair that is), as he said he wasn’t fully confident he would stay the GC trip at Cheltenham.

The King George is Bravemangame’s GC and this is the only race that Nicholls cares about this season for him. Anything else is a bonus

Plenty of trainers will be tempted to run their horses in this race if Allaho doesn't show.
Mullins still holds the ace in Allaho though.. As you say stone better than the other horses when fully fit and Mullins knows before everyone else if Allaho won't make the Fez..
Even for example, Blue Lord last week, runs him over 2m4f and couple of weeks before this he says blue Lord goes the CC route.. Mullins could well be a step ahead of every trainer already and he has an abundance of top quality chasers and time to find a replacement.

There aren't gonna be any decent irish horses lining up in the King George to take him on

As Nicholls said in his stable tour bravemansgame was losing weight in the spring and therefore not near his best come march and april

Be interesting to see if he holds his form this year

What happens to Bravemansgame if it comes up soft to heavy at Kempton?
I'd have Envoi and TF over BMG at this point. Again, going to be bold, this will be the last time BMG is backed into 4/1 or less or a grade 1

I can't have tornado flyer personally

His win was a complete fluke created by bryony and Rachel going off like they thought it was a 1m4f grade 1 chase

he was only there as a social runner

And couldn't back envoi with his intermittent breathing problems

If bravemansgame can't win this he will never win an open company grade 1

Running to 165 would be enough to win it

If the ground got heavy he probably won't run, but it very rarely is at kempton at Christmas

Allaho would've won by half the track had the setback not happened

If Allaho isn't fit, I wonder if Chacun Pour Soi might be sent on the Min route to this race. Ruby did say the year he didn't run in the Champion Chase it was only the rules on one declaration that stopped them running him in this

I think he's far more likely to end up in the Ryanair than the QMCC, but he wouldn't be one for me. I'm not convinced he's seen to best effect at Cheltenham, he'll be 11 and if the Gold Cup looks red hot then horses could defect from there to here that render him far less likely to win. He's definitely not a no hoper though. He won a Grade 1 earlier this year posting an RPR of 176 - I suspect that will be his main target.

Does Galopin Come here if alloho doesn't, Looking at the sax December diary the john durken that galopin is entered in is yielding the most Ryan Air winners

Starting to think that this could be a big possibility.

If Stattler does well over Christmas they he encourage Willie to move GDC back to an open Ryanair.

We still don't know how GDC will do over the Gold Cup trip over fences, with his running style.

Ryanair 2023, GC 2024. The Don Cossack Route, and what could have been the planned route for Vautour before his untimely death RIP

Chacun Pour Soi is to go up in trip too, so he could end up in the Ryanair for Willie, as could Blue Lord, however I posed the question about Galopin going for the Ryanair on here previously and it seemed to be met with a bit of resistance, like Willie said Gold Cup and that's that!

Things have changed since then though with Allaho. I would say Willies thinking will not be so concrete now regarding GDC.

I couldn’t have CPS at all anymore, especially travelling over to the UK. If he came I couldn’t see him winning, but would more suspect he would stay in Ireland.

In terms of Blue Lord, I don’t think he’s good enough even without Allaho in the race. Fakir would beat him. He will go but I don’t see Willie seeing him with a great change compared to GDC. It all depends on what Willie has to replace GDC in the GC, and if Stattler can show that
