I thought he might have been a mad price to do the double but I'd rather take 66/1 than the 100s and use it in some small stakes multis. There was some 40s+ available for the Ryanair on the exchange before he ran Saturday so I took some of that.Originally posted by Istabraq View Post

I get that. There have been plenty of KG winners that have won the GC though so slightly surprised you'd not like it as a trial. Recent history hasn't thrown up any winners but Cue Card and Might Bite weren't disgraced.Originally posted by opatcho View Post

I like really like Hitman, I had him down (originally) as a main contender for the King George, but I think the Irish will win it. I have Hitman him ahead Bravemansgame!!
However, I was doing my typical "backing such horses that look like another Clan Des Obeaux" when in reality.... they are far from the form that he had coming into King George when he won it, and Clan was 12/1-20/1 before the race. 5/1 for Hitman... hmmmm.
He's yet to tackle 3 miles, I do think he'll improve for it!! I really do. I think the King George will be suited to him and do I think he'll finish ahead of BMG, but I dont think he'll take to Cheltenham a well, and there are way too many negatives (Nichols and whether he'll target that), he doesnt appear to have been prep'ed of the festival - more like he's been prep'ed to peak this half of the year.
Burnt fingers, been there with Clan. Backed him all the way through his season as a 5-6 year old. Backed him for the Betfair chase, and then it wasnt until the last minute when I backed him (much smaller stake) when he won the King George - like others, wished I stuck in there just one more season.
So yeah, King George, he has a chance. Gold Cup - na. Ryanair, I just cant see Nichols taking him there, will safe him for Aintree.Comment

I just posted up in the KG thread and have Hitman running well but finding one of the Irish to strong. Which may push him down into the Ryanair
