        • Fair play to EDG and connections for taking the gamble.

Potential front running bias on the course today (I know it usually favours prominently ridden horses).

Energumene looked beat further than 2 out. Edwardstone ran well considering he didn't travel as well as usual.

              • Well this race has suddenly been blown wide open and I love it!!!

Enjoyed how little Energumene found and Edwardstone not being able to get the job done vs EDG.

Open betting markets is what we want. Energumene winning and going 1/4 would have been boring!!

                • Has a reason been given why Energumene doesn't make the running when he comes to Cheltenham but has done in every other race he's won

                    Love the first sentence.

Absolutely fascinating race to look forward to now.
                    Brilliant stuff.

It is isn't it. We want fascinating, not 1/4 shots in 4 runner races.

                      • ….Blue Lord destination probably sorted.

                        Energ 3-1; Edward 7/2; Editeur 6-1

                        • Energumene a pretty big feature in my multiples! Slightly concerning effort.

Wouldn't have minded the 1/4 shot

                          • I thought Tom Cannon rode a race to beat Energumene, but was probably sat too far back and the effort he made probably made it difficult to go by the winner.
Underestimated the winner I reckon, like myself.
Edwardstone should be favourite now as he probably comes out best, just.

If it comes up quicker ground in March, I will be all over Edwardstone. EdG ran a cracker and had a fantastic ride. Cannon gave himself a little too much to do, but he has always wanted better ground than soft so a nice spring GS and I think he’ll have to much speed for them over the last furlong.

                              EdG has claims though.

                              • Took most of the fences with him on the 2nd circuit. I’d still have him as the most likely winner of the race assuming no injury.
