Hello Fat Jockeys,

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

Anyone got a ground update for Sandown ?

….nope but Greaneteen is 25-1 to win TC & CC with Sky which might look decent for anybody who wants him on-board.

I was so tempted to take the 9/4 on Greaneteen yesterday, kicking myself

Very surprised if any of Shishkin, Jonbon, Edwardstone or Monmiral take their chance this weekend. There looks to have been some value in the Boothill 9/2 and Greaneteen 2/1 if anyone took.

I've had a little dart at Funambole Sivola and Unexpected Party e/w both at 16/1. The double is 288/1. Antepost pays 2 places.

There's a chance Captain Guinness doesn't take up his entry too in my view having not run on good ground before. Funambole SIvola has a surprisingly ok record on good (I had him down as a mud merchant) and I could see him chasing Grenateen home.

Surely Unexpected Party has the beating of Honneur D'ajnoc who is exposed for a 5yo and they might be the only other runners in the race. I still think at least one of Jonbon or Monmiral will be declared, but worth a go anyway.

If both place, a 0.5pt ew (1pt total) bet pays 12.5pts back.

            • Edwardstone out to 7/1 for Tingle Creek. He's already missed two engagements. I get the feeling, a bit like Constitution Hill, that he'll have to run on Saturday as time is running out . You can't keep bringing these good horses to the boil and disappointing them. As long as the ground is safe then I reckon he'll run.

They do have Kempton at Xmas and the Clarence House at Ascot towards the end of January as options to get them spot on in March, if needs be.
But yes, probably not ideal to get them ready and then not run.

It's Alan King, I'd say he wont run him as hes obsessed with not running them

zero chance he runs imo.. ground is going to be good at best.

CH had to run whatever at the weekend. Think Eddie is in the same position.

He's already said in the RP he'll be pulled if the ground ain't right, first run of the season, could potentially mess him up for the rest.

Where else can he go ? And will the ground be right elsewhere? It's predominantly G/S ATM and they are watering. Colder weather too so less chance of it drying out.

I was looking at doing something like this earlier in the week and you've just convinced me. It wouldn't surprise me if Monmiral, Jonbon, Edwardstone, Shishkin and GDM don't line up.

I've done small ew doubles of Unexpected Party will Captain Guinness and Funambule Sivola.

The angle is indisputably sound and will almost as certainly result in even more impact to the pricing up of big races in the future if successful.
