  • Anyone with a better understanding of the exchange able to comment on Gentleman de Mee? Suggestion from a couple of people on twitter (one that I trust) that it's not looking good for him. Not got him backed myself, more flagging for others in case he's drifting with a reason...

Well he would probably need ground better than expected, my guess is that’s the reason for the drift

He's one that'll be unsuited by the ground going soft was my initial thought but having checked he's been matched at 60s recently. Which would be slightly more than a ground concern... I'd agree it doesn't look good.

        • The price action doesn’t look good, but bare in mind it took about ?30 to cause that. Might’ve been one person with a ground concern and another scared by the drift.

That'd be 50p at 60s You don't seriously think that's what it took do you?

                    it's taken 4 figures like

That’s not how the exchange works. When I say it took ?30 I mean of layers money. It doesn’t matter the price. Look at the volume bars on the price chart. It’s not close to 4 figures.

Only ?6,326 has been matched since the market opened last year so it hasn't taken 4 figures to move it.

I disagree and you seem confused. ?30 of layers money at 60s would be a 50p bet for a backer...

You might want to look into how the exchange works. It's too late for me to

I'm willing to be proven wrong, as always.

Yea I might've gone overboard with that edit

Although that's on GDM, 150k has been matched on the market. So I'm still unconvinced.

I understand what you’re saying, but that’s not how it works or how it’s expressed. The volume of bets is worked out on the basis of how much is staked. So in your example the volume would be 50p, not ?30.

As I say, look at the price chart on Betfair. That’s a factual record.

That's my point. If the volume is 30 and the price is 60s. Then someone is risking 1,800 on it? So it's physically taken a layer 1,800 to shift it...
