Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

It’s a nice race to win, and as a QM winner it’s great to see him run in it.
Obviously worked out for them last year.

    • I agree, just think Willie was a little tongue in cheek. Also respectful it should be said

Yep, and Edward deserves respect, ain’t done nothing but improve since chasing and hard to gauge exactly how good he is imo.
Obviously don’t include his mishap lto

        • Let's hope they both show up or it'll be a non event. If it's a similar race to last year's it would be great.,leaving the Cheltenham race still a real contest.

            Yep, that’s what we want.
These two plus a few others that might surprise.
            Just love the 2m chases

Yep. Really look forward to the Champion Chase every year. Hoping this year is better than last year's farce. I'm sure it will be.

Alan king on Ener v Eddy

                i bloody love this quote.

Things can get quite heated and edgy on here from time to time when discussing/judging trainers and I get why ....for me this quote is a timely reminder of just how passionate trainers are about our sport and if we are quick to judge when we see things we don’t like we should also be quick to praise when trainers show in their actions that they are not afraid for their pride and joys to be beaten.

It's promising for Saturday for sure.

Probably best waiting till they both declare and run though.
It's a Phoney war for now.

Energumene by at least 8 lengths
Fair enough, I was the same with Edwardstone until I finally backed him for the Tingle creek. I went all last season backing against him…. very similar situation to PTKO. Not only was I pleased that I backed the winner, but at no point did he look like losing that day. I know Edwardstone doesnt have that "Star Appeal" by name, but he certainly chases like one

                    I wouldn’t underestimate Edwardstone

If Editeur Du Gite turns up in the QM, it’s going to be a replay of the years when Special Tiara would tear off in front, and set a pace, so quick that half the field will be finished by the 5th fence

Edwardstone has stamina, and he is able to go with the pace. I was very impressed with how he travelled in the tingle creek

If Edwardstone was a year younger, I’d be all over him for the QMCC as he'd be the one that could squeeze out some improvement. He isnt, so I have to factor that in

I’d have it as 55/45 with Energumene just ahead at this stage. I think it’s going to be one of those races - who can get around with your making a mistake. The fav jumps so well and cleanly. Edwardstone was clean too until that one error which now leaves a little doubt until we see him jump again. Personally, I'm not going to mark him too harshly for that

hopefully, we get a proper race between the top this time around

I’m the other side of the coin ....I’d much rather embrace the possibility and accept the disappointment if it transpires than temper my excitement in case I am let down. The world is divided pretty much half and half I’d say. The paddy power adverts did a great job of showing both sides when they were discussing constitution hill.

I see the argument but I’m more 75/25. At a push.

I'd imagine most on here will be crashing in on that 11/8

                            • Love this.

So glad no-one on here is moaning about there just being 3 runners, as if adding 10 other crap horses with no business in the race would make it more of a specacle.

I hope it's close though.... I want the QMCC to be exciting as well ....

May be asking for too much!

                              • Who wins if Clarence House turns into a sprint. Eddie certainly won't want to lead. Might get really tactical and turn into an utter farce of a race.

Just seen who the third horse is. He'll take them along......for a bit.
