Willie knows he's better than that. Can see that evil twinkle in his eyes. Crafty old bugger.

    • Sharjah is probably the value bet today, given his record on this course configuration. Like the last 4 years.
      6-1 is decent.

      • Really intriguing race. The best this season so far.

        • Lots of confidence in the betting behind Vauban.

          • Big day today I feel for the Champion Hurdle.
Big run from one (more even better!!)can give us hope for a competitive race, if not we won’t get one imo.

Well it would be disappointing if either of those didn’t win, and really we want an impressive display.
Well that’s what I would like to see anyway.

                • Vauban did quite a bit wrong there and did well to get as close as he did.
I can see him overturning that at the DRF.

                  • Taking Vauban out of that, shut in couldn't get a run, didn't jump great and not had a run.

Aye, was actually pretty impressed with his effort there. Will be siding with him also if they were to meet again at DRF.

Neither are getting close to CH though are they

                      • Agree with everyone on here. Vauban the one to take out of that race. The Irish Churdle wil be some race if they can get Honey back to her best.

                        • Pretty pleased with State Man and Vauban there. Vauban will come on from that. Pied Piper was miles behind, I didn't think he was up to their standard but he's not that bad?

                          • ….State Man a best price 5-1 CH, Vauban 12-1.

                            • Totally agree Vauban the one to take out of that race on seasonal debut.

Can see him turning the form round at the DRF. I think Danny forgot the last hurdle was being passed which definitely didn’t help, lost a couple lengths having to slow down and pull out.

                              • State man looks the more polished and straight forward to me
Vauban will certainly be a different proposition next year
I will be sticking with State man for the Irish Champion hurdle
