    • Willie and Co have a pretty good line on Honeysuckle through Sharjah don't they. If State Man wallops Sharjah like the market is suggesting, then Willie will be committed with SM over hurdles and then perhaps decide fences are the way for SG.

      • Yeah, and the way he’s being backed in today suggests he could be a decent on to follow in

ive back him in the double for the CH, and excited to see him out

        • State Man, was not impressed with him during the early stages... hurdling needs to sharpen up... but once Townsend asked him to go... he put the race to bed within a few strides - impressed with his turn of foot
Will definitely need to improve and be more slicker with his hurdling for the CH though

          • State Man is one of my favourite horses in training but I'd love to see him go for something like the Turners instead of this.

            • State Man done it nice enough there, but I won't be in a rush to get him onside, tbh.

              • What a pathetic weekends racing. Total waste of everyone's time. Glad I've been away !

                Hope it gets better.

                • Think Constitution Hill would have watched that and thought nothing.
Looked laboured to me, after the last.
But at least he beat the older horses.
                  Promising though.

                  • Looked decent but I wasn't blown away by it, happy to leave him be for now.

                    • Wasn't blown away, but solid performance. Think at better pace would have suit. Will come on again imo. Definitely can see improvement, but if Honey is still her usual self, State man will need to improve those jumping, bit more quicker, but experience and pace I again personally can see it, he's in the mix!

                      • Was okay in a Mullins schooling race.

Last horse to win the Morgiana and CH in the same season was Hurricane Fly in 2013. And he ain’t no Hurricane Fly

Think you meant to say honeysuckle there instead of constitution hill, then again he is the next istabraq off the back of that one win so maybe your right

                          • Aim for me today was to get him on side for the CH at the bigger price. Just in case CH or Honeysuckle or both dont make it.
                            Job done

CH still needs to come and do the business, but hey, what sort of price you getting... so happy to leave that for now.

Now I can focus on getting honeysuckle on side, shouldnt be an issue at her current price

Very different between novices and open hurdlers though
