I know we're done this before and I've bored everyone to death over this but I see it as a massive dilution of the festival if your reigning champion hurdler has a non G1 alternative she can attempt.
You're absolutely right of course, she owes no-one a thing, but I'd prefer her to retire than see her line up 40 mins later than she should.
Plus, the Mares hurdle looks to have the most depth I can ever remember, if Honey has regressed in the past few weeks it won't take much more regression for her to be vulnerable in that race...

With both Epatante and Honeysuckle almost certainly going Mares, Willie might be tempted to run Sharjah again in his favourite race. He's a huge price and I wouldn't put it past him to run into 3rd place .
