Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Would be interesting to see whether he changes tactics. I thought Vauban was a little outpaced at one stage around the bend, got upsides but then appeared to be one paced again.
I feel all three of them (Honey, State and Vauban) are stayers over 2 miles.

    Hope all three line up
Just re-watched the Matheson & confirmed what I thought initially… think Vauban looked outpaced too coming from the back; however it was touted beforehand he’d need the run & come on from it so I’ve put it down to that. He’ll strip fitter for his next run & think he could reverse the placings with State Man on that, especially given he had to check from the inside on the run in. Can’t work out where Honeysuckle is currently so will be a watching brief at the DRF & hope all 3 show up for a great race…

Only bet I’ve had on this is Vauban w/o Constitution Hill in a few doubles as I think he’s potentially got the most improvement in him, will leave it alone other than that. Just hoping they all turn up & see which one of them tries to get Constitution Hill off the bridle first… if Danny’s on Vauban could we’ll be him given he’s mastered a few front running rides in the past (Flooring Porter for example)

    • Backing last year's juveniles for the Champion Hurdle is a fast track to the poor house you perverts

Could be. But equally there could me more. It’s not one I’d be certain of. You’ll almost certainly have CH, Honey, and the 3 Mullins lot. I think Bob goes here - don’t see him
racing again before the festival. Pied Piper probably. I believe Twizzler said I Like To Move It will likely go. That’s 8. Then you have the others that have nowhere else to go. Not so sleepy, Knappers Hill, maybe …

Not So Sleepy is almost certainly going. https://twitter.com/sportinglife/sta...L1M-J-dfq_oKWw

You can probably rule out some of the mares as well:
            Echoes in Rain - Mares
            Epatante - Mares?
            Love Envoi - Mares

Zanahyir has been campaigned over the longer trip, and is still in the Stayers, though not good enough for that or this.

Not seen anything on Jason the Militant, Knappers Hill or First Street either.

            • Aye, I'll think you'll end up with 6 in the Irish. So not hard to think of a few more for Cheltenham. Think it'll be around 10. With 9 no hopers.

              • Any thoughts on 6/4 Honeysuckle to place NRNB... On the face of it it's pretty average but there's basically four or five realistic prospects of placing here (I'm sure somebody will point out big priced placed efforts in previous CH). She's likely going to face two of them at the DRF and I suspect if she's not close to winning there then they won't even bother with the Champion Hurdle, in which case money back no harm. If she was to win DRF then she'd go a short enough priced second fav here, and long odds on in the place market.

Or 11/4 w/o Constitution Hill NRNB is maybe better, but you'd need her to be winning DRF.

I like it. As you said she has to go close at the DRF to even be turning up really, and worst case is it will be a money back job

I don't think there are 4 or 5 realistic prospects, I think there are two others, State Man & Vauban. I couldn't have the rest. She'll be odds on to place if she wins or goes very close at the DRF.

Aye, I was at four including Honey. I just went safe Agree it's three places between those four realistically. And I want a bet that still allows me to enjoy Constitution Hill winning.

I'm going to add it to some weekend bets.

I think it was on the Under Starters Order podcast this week, they were talking about horses only having so much ‘mileage’ to them and once you bottom that out, they are gone at the game. Bob O, Shiskin, Cyrname to name a few..

Bob has very little milage on the clock really in the grand scheme of things. He’s regressing rapidly for whatever reason but it’s not down to excessive milage!
