    • He's a nice horse. If they're going to Haydock, I'd say they'll miss Cheltenham. That Feb meeting the majority of the time is on horrendous ground and the Cheltenham festival can come round a bit too quickly, as Hillcrest found out.

      • Lucinda has already said that they are likely to miss Cheltenham hasn't she ? See him as one for the future .

Backed Hillcrest on his last 2 runs, still got a soft spot for him

Beauty of a horse. Love to see him win another decent race again.

I'm genuinely surprised this got such a negative reaction - I've had a play at 40s NRNB with 365 so thanks for highlighting.

The Spillanes Tower form is there for all to see, but he also beat Heart wood 9 lengths in his beginners chase last year. Heart wood was probably being handicapped for the DRF but it's still really solid form. He was coughing post-race when pulling up as favourite for the handicap at Puncestown so obvious excuses there.

The worry would be that his best performance was over 2m last year, but it was on heavy ground and with NRNB, if they decide they want to go that route, it's money back. He won't beat Fact To File if FTF goes there, but could easily place and he'll be maximum half the price if he wins tomorrow. If he doesn't win tomorrow he probably won't go

                  • Leader In The Park goes again today and he'll need to be winning well if he's going to make it into the new Turners novices handicap at the festival. He and Asta La Pasta were two I mentioned from the Kempton race that used to be a good pointer towards the festival novices handicap when it was in its former guise.

Either his horses have been given their jabs or there is potentially a problem in the yard. His horses have been running terribly and I’m very surprised nothing has been mentioned. 5% strike rate in last 14 days and horses being pushed along after just a few furlongs. Let’s see how this fella gets on today as he really should win or go very close.

Yeah he's not on a good run at the moment but that can sometimes be skewed by the quality of horse he's been running during the period. If he doesn't win today then he may struggle to climb the weights enough to get in the Turners, albeit we won't know what the likely lowest OR will be under the new conditions.
