Square peg, round hole in this case.

I understand the Mulryans wanting a runner in the race they sponsor, and it worked out for them with City Island, but the stubbornness every year to send horses there instead of races they might have a chance in is really something!

They’ve been fixated ever since City Island won the race, he hasn’t done a tap since, that was one of Martin Brazil’s best training feats imo, Initially I had him backed for the Martin Pipe that year but he somehow beat Champ in the Ballymore & landed me a 50/1 freak result, don’t know if it was just my day that Wednesday as it coincided with Topofthegame winning the RSA for me at huge odds & both in a treble with Envoi Allen. Still don’t know how he won. Maybe he paid a visit Charles Byrnes chemist! Who knows, I don’t care anyway!

Vaguely remember Liverpool beating Bayern Munich in Munich that night too. Felt like a lotto win that day.

Edit: I think that Topofthegame shout was my first real post on here so most likely beginners luck!

            • Getting back to the Mulryans topic after blowing way too much smoke up my own arse.

I think of this years crop Built By Ballymore’s form has to be looking better & better given my gr? for Path D’oroux. Halibut may frank the form tomorrow but his jumping isn’t very pretty.

                  Along side luccia

You'd imagine only 1 will run and neither unless the ground is not too soft or not too good

Nick's already mentioned the drying ground at Newbury.

Interesting entries and it looks like Willie is ready to get rolling now.

                                Juvenile is very interesting:
Blood Destiny (who I speculated might be held back)
                                Tekao (on many a list)
                                Jazzy Matty (redemption time?)
Jourdefete (had been quoted would be held back this season)
