And here ladies and gents is exactly how hype works. A horse gets an entry that splits opinion, we settle for the version that suits us best and spin it to the point that the horse becomes Pegasus

Fwiw I believe Saxons version is the most likely but I’d be a lot more confident if it wasn’t for the pedigree (just a personal view I know he’s a solid unit and all that)

As a rule are we more likely to hear that schooling is going well or not so well ?

I agree think Saxons version is more likely but I couldn’t have it as positive at all for a horse that’s meant to be going novice chasing.

Although Lobos also has a slight valid point as Facile Vega was a pretty poor hurdler imo (in most peoples opinion I hope ) so clearly Mister Policeman would be the one to step in should anything happen to his suppose 2 champion hurdle darts.

You are correct though don’t hear many trainers letting on to how poorly a horse has schooled. Always seems to be positive. Suppose it’s subtle things we could pick up on like “he’s a baby and needs another year to grow up over hurdles before going chasing”

      Impaire et pass?

I'm surprised they even entered him as the going was always going to be soft at best.

I would not take the pedigree angle too literally. Triple Threat has moved to Ireland now and very sought after as a NH sire. You'll probably find he'll be a household name in a few years, especially as Willie, Walter and Donnchadh have given their seal of approval.

Edit: Just seen Icare Desbois declared on Sunday so we'll get to see another offspring over hurdles.

Absolutely but It wasn’t just the sire…he is out of a pivotal mare who herself was out of a us dirt horse who was out of mr prospector ….there’s nothing of note anywhere that I can find on the jumps side other than hunters tweed who is out of the dams sire nashwan. I’m keeping an open mind and I’m sure the sire will get lots of opportunities but it’s why I haven’t gone in too deep yet.

I noticed icare desbois had been entered, hopefully they can keep him sound as they seemed keen on him last season. I note they believe he has a bit of pace so it’ll be interesting to see how he goes.

              • Some interesting racing on Sunday at Naas.

King Of Kingsfield back out over 2m. Slade Steel & Icare Desbois will be up against him.

Mahon's Way declared for the maiden hurdle over 2m2f. Chosen Witness one of his rivals.

Fil D'or vs Sir Gerhard vs Dinoblue in the G3 chase over 2m.

Corbetts Cross vs Grangeclare West in the 2m4f Beginners Chase.

A half sister to Allaho, with the same sire as El Fabiolo/Laurina, runs in the bumper for Willie/Patrick too.

Well, I think it's say to say he won't be another Chemical Energy after that today!

As suspected Cleatus Poolaw not good enough.

Great race. Will they be tempted by Champion Chase if Dinoblue wins this impressively over 2 miles??

Hoping Sir G jumps like a slug........

I’m off to Naas tomorrow. Good little card on offer alright, think we may see an under the radar novice hurdler step forward. Have backed Slade Steel & Mahons Way in singles, think they could prove to be a couple of HdB’s best darts this season. Can’t for the life of me work out the beginners chase. Not a massive Corbetts Cross fan but he should have too much for Grangeclare West.

                          • Yep great card tomorrow, two I'm most interested in seeing is Mahon's Way and Golden Joy.

Mahon's will make a smashing chaser, jumped super when winning his point. Ran a bit keen in his bumper behind Mirazur West but it was a decent run all the same. Market looks wrong in my opinion, I'd have the Mullins horse and Mahon the other way around.

Golden Joy looks set to follow the Teahupoo route this term, and if he was to impress could be interesting later in the season. Although it didn't go that well for Teahupoo when upped in class so they could just keep it light with next season in mind.

Hoping Fil Dor can kick start his chasing career tomorrow. Last season was a bit of an underwhelming mess, the juvenile curse hit him real hard.

Long bitcoin, long gold, long silver, long g/s opening day Cheltenham Festival

Was Interested in KoK for a handicap so may just be a watching brief, but with my lack of will power i may end up with a small bit of 'win today and AR

Will do Golden Joy WTAF as i'm not too sure where he will end up, could be the same for Slade Steel

                              • Gaelic Warrior declared in the 2m3 novice chase at Fairyhouse on Tuesday.

                                DB Cooper in the bumper.
