Yes he also said he’d be kept to 2m unless something told them otherwise.

    • Looking at entries for the coming week, bar Jeriko du reponet, Henderson has most of his talked up Novice hurdlers all have entries, Kintail and jingko blue both declared for Warwick on Tuesday.

      • Sandor getting another dec over 2m is definitely a strange one :/

An epic song opposes who will no doubt be getting capped for something, imagine and inothewayurthinkin the other 2 main principles.

Yes, a talking horse alright. He talked a lot to my pocket, thinking I'd bagged the Mares Novice value last year. Will watch with interest, thanks.

This is certainly a strange occurrence from memory but hopefully the Nicky Henderson stats chap on here can provide some confirmation. I know they are only entries at this stage, but Henderson has really loaded the entries of his top novices into a few days. I really don't recall this strategy before.

              Jingko Blue
              Kintail
              East India Express
              Bective Abbey
              Willmount
              Southoftheborder
              Kingston Pride

That might be me. I suspect it will all be to do with ground. He's very wary of running his best on anything without Soft in the description. So if it looks like he will get that then they get an entry. He has a slight preference for Albert Bartlett runners getting out a bit later but it's not so strong that I'd rule out entries in November.

Yes probably right with the ground TGB, from memory Henderson normally starts unleashing his better one's around the week of the fighting fifth and Newbury meeting the same weekend

Yes - Newbury, Ascot and Sandown in November and December are particularly favoured start points. More here:

                    • I'd also say that Jingko Blue and Kintail being declared over 2m3 is not a great sign for any Supreme backers - no Henderson Supreme runner has debuted over 2m3+ in the last ten years.

Willmount taking up his Newbury entry over 2m would be a good sign for him though.

Those meetings are the ones I have in my head for him which is why I was surprised to see so many entered this week. Obviously they can't all be top notch but I'd have thought a few in that list would be nearer the top of his pile. Only Jeriko, Ideal Des Bordes and Shanagh Bob missing off the top of my head.

I was a bit surprised too. But then worth noting that most of his real top draw Supreme runners apart from Altior had a debut in late November or early December. He may want to bide his time to really get them in shape. I wouldn't be worrying too much if I had a good price on any of those.

Don't forget Jango Baie who won the same race at the weekend over 2m that both Altior and My Tent or Yours won.

                            • A couple of changes in the revised Down Royal entries on Friday.

The Yellow Clay has an entry in the bumper so maybe he'll also get one on the Saturday in the 2m hurdle race.
Down Memory Lane has no entry in the 2m6f hurdle so hopefully he'll get one on the Saturday after be didn't take up Fairyhouse against An Tobar.
DB Cooper missing from the Friday bumper entries this time round but the rest are there.

                              • Something else for DB Cooper or potentially met with a setback?

Nice to see The Yellow Clay entered up. Was beginning to wonder re him.

Was DML previously entered for the 2m 6f Hurdle? If so, that would be a slight worry as well.

Great that they've saved the meeting though.
