      Taken off his feet?
He's not a slow horse, not sure why you think he is.

Is it because he's by a presenting mare?
Because as damsire he's grandkids are a mixed bag and include the current 2 mile champion chaser captain Guinness.

How keen he was in the bartlett would suggest to me 3 miles won't be on the agenda any time soon

We'll find out today but i reckon its arkle for him.

He’s more in the mould of a staying chaser than a crack 2 miler for me, if you go back to his run last year on trails day at Cheltenham he gets headed coming to the last hurdle by Lucky Place but battles back gamely staying on up the hill to get his head in front.

I’m not sure he has the cruising speed for the minimum trip, I guess we’ll find out today, Iberico Lord has plenty of boot.

Mossy Fen Road entered over hurdles at Hereford on Wednesday (2m and 2m4f). They seem have decided to skip bumpers with him. He's from my list of 4yo P2P horses to follow.
Mossy Fen Road declared at Hereford over 2m. I'm actually quite excited by this as I like Harry and this horse could be a flag bearer over the next couple of years for him, along with Korkoran from P2Ps. MFR has a nice page to back up his decent P2P performance.

            Cheers JM

Not one for the festival I'd assume at this stage but one to rack up some wins with on the way?

He’d be a chaser long term but he could pay his way over hurdles in the meantime.

I’m hoping he’ll be decent enough. I expected them to go for the longer race to be honest as 2m might be a bit sharp.

                  • A 4 runner race in the Hattons Grace.

                    Teahupoo
                    Lossiemouth
                    Beacon Edge
                    Maxxum

I imagine Gordon has chucked in the other two to make it a test.

He wouldn't want it turning into a sprint against Lossiemouth, IMO.

                        • Was hoping to see one of Willies better novice chasers at Tramore on Thursday over 2m2f, I'm not convinced Mistergif is near the top of the pecking order. Bit disappointing, to be honest.

Hopefully he'll hold the market up so Boldog is a nice price though.

Not to be a pedant, but it's Thurles rather than Tramore. It could be important as the going at Thurles is currently "good" whereas it's "soft to heavy" at Tramore - FredFlintstone mentioned in the other thread that Thurles may not be suitable for winter ground horses which inspired me to see what the going is. Perhaps that's why none of his good ones are declared? Not sure I'd want to take Boldog on good ground though, either.

You are correct, it's because I was watching a race at Tramore earlier
