So far this month , we have suggestions of .... Gaillard du Mesnil - nat hunt chs. .
------------------------------------------------------------ Three Stripe life - turners nov chs .
    --------------------------------------------------------------Langer Dan - stayers hdl.
    -------------------------------------------------------------- Ahoy Senor .. , Stattler .. , Conflated .., - gold cup.
I guess you can add Galopin des Champs to that list . And another one i would take a punt on is Better Days Ahead in the Bumper .
Also suggested , Is that Saxon pick's the Yankee from the upcoming Punchestown Festival ...

….I like Saxon Warrior putting his twopenneth in, it makes sense to exploit that analysis.

If he doesn’t have 4 selections from Punchestown (or we have two efforts this month), I’ll throw Gentleman de Mee into the mix for the Champion Chase @ 14-1.

Think 8/1 is on the short side now. Could drift at the start of the season if he doesn't win or run well.

I suppose it's difficult to know what Klassical dream will turn up on any given day but the 18's available pre Punchestown is still too big imo. Just looking at the betting it's likely to cut up and potential dangers look relatively thin and while I don't expect the same demolition job as last year a win would put him back to 2nd fav at the least. With FP in the March Yankee having both on side might be a good thing as if both turn up fit and well come March there's every possibility they'll be in the first 3 home.

With Punchestown in mind i have looked at the potential runners in the 3M novice hurdle, Whatdeawant and Journey With Me caught my eye. I had both down as potential bets for this years Bartlett and i think the step up in trip will suit both perfectly. With this in mind, i think both of them would be a good shout for next years RSA and would be happy with the inclusion of either as nice prices are available on them both.

What is everyone's thoughts on doing one before Sandown & Punchestown for those we believe will win and therefore drop in price and then do Saxon's on post Punchestown?

                I'd vote for this.

Quite happy with one forum Yankee a month this far out from the next Fest but will go with the flow.

I’d be happy with this too but Sax hasn’t said one way or the other whether he wants to do this. Entirely up to him. If he does, let’s do the two and sort the first one out in time for Punchestown (don’t think there’s much need to do it before Sandown as what realistically would we even want that will run there).

If not, a normal Yankee for the end of the month would work.

I'm happy to do the research.

Last years Willie Mullins Yankee didn't hit the mark, but all the horses turned out to be good, at least, but not running in the right races, they all got there.

                      State Man
                      Galopin des Champs
                      Dysart Dynamo
                      Capodanno

Could put my thoughts on here and let it be discussed.

I cashed mine out early this year when I could see the signs of race picks going against it, and ended up with 10-times my stake - so at some stage it did look like the Yankee was a good bet with prices shortening a lot.

16 horses who ran at the Punchestown Festival last year . Won or Placed at this year's Cheltenham Festival ....... Food for Thought .
Might be worth waiting till after the Punchestown Festival to decide on this month's Yankee. ??.

I'd say one before and one after works well with your diary Sax. People don't have to follow suit but we could get better prices on those beforehand.

….I also cashed that one in for a pleasant profit. I definitely think a Punchestown informed Yankee is worth having in our book for that reason alone & I’m more than happy if that is accompanied by our usual monthly effort.

I didn’t/don’t have the ability to cash out but I enjoyed the ride on that yankee for a few months.
You don’t have to win to enjoy a bet…

Does anyone have any picks before Punchestown kicks off?

I'd vote Mrs Milner, very unlucky at Cheltenham.
