Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • Reckon there's any chance Allaho goes GC next year? I'd like to see it for the race but with the owners having APT and the trainer having GDC, it seems reasonably unlikely...

It was mentioned in an interview pre-cheltenham with Chris(?) Richardson on sky. The words according to my memory were along the lines of...

'Goes for the Ryanair this year. No chance of gold cup this year but we might consider it next year' (slightly paraphrased/misquoted but the general gist)

Fwiw I think he goes ryanair given apt won gold cup last year

Yeah, though I think that might change if anything were to happen to APT.
Allaho was always talked about as a Gold Cup horse, there was a big debate leading up to his RSA run where everyone expected him to go for the shorter race but they were trying to determine whether he was a proper stayer, I don't think his defeat confirmed one way or the other.
Although it's a new race to win a third Ryanair would be some feat and right now I think that will be their thinking...

        • Allaho's issue is that he runs best when racing prominently. This has always found him out over 3 miles at the top level. When they tried holding him up in the Savills, he was well beaten and, going from the front, he couldn't hang on in the RSA or the Punchestown novice hurdle.

18 months/2 year ago them 2 races though Archie, definitely worth trying again with him now he's more mature.

I thought Indo outstayed him in the RSA, they both suffered but Indo idled where as Allaho didn't stay imo.

However, given what Allaho has done for the last 2 years they have every right to see if he can do it over 2m, could lead to a KG tilt. Envoi seems to be staying over shorter, APT doesn't go right handed so perfect spot for him

              • Allaho is a more mature relaxed horse now I really don't see 3 miles at punchestown being a problem

I just hope they stick to the front running tactics

I also think he'd win the king George but the John durkan is perhaps too close to it for an ideal prep

                • At the end of his career I suspect they'll want him to be a triple winner or the Ryanair, rather than a dual winner of the Ryanair and a non-stayer in a Gold Cup.

                  • This feels like a waste of internet ink but anyway, Sky have the following to go unbeaten for the 22/23 NH season (3+ runs, Ptown etc...). Others available on request so long as they've already run under rules.

                    Constitution Hill, 7/2
                    Facile Vega, 9/2
                    Sir Gerhard, 6/1
                    Jonbon, 8/1

That Constitution hill price absolutely stinks

                        • Sir Gerhard to win at Punchestown and any *novice chase* is 6/1 with Sky.

I’ve been messaging Sky to do the any race, and also asked Hills/Paddy for a price.

Looking to get a few others priced up too, if possible ahead of the next few days…

Sounds to me like if he fails over 2 v DD then he'll go chasing and if he wins he'll target the Champion Hurdle. Maybe get a price to lose tomorrow and win any Novice chase??

I expect Sky will soon have a specific section with Punchestown/Festival offers & we’ll see a number from Hills and possibly PP.

                              …reminder of Sky offers.
