Not sure re RD as he was very disappointing at the fez even despite the ground. Can see why people would fancy Vega for the Ballymore in view of him being out of Quevega and her stamina being passed onto him.

      10s and 12s in a place.

      You've got a good memory.

      • Chemical Energy racing over fences for the first time this evening at Kilbeggan. Was an early MP horse on here and will have a tough assignment today against Bacardys over 2m6f. If he wins, I think that's his novice tag lost in the UK by the Cheltenham Festival? Odd placement.

        • Caldwell have some interesting, expensive, well bred bumper entries (all stores) at the Punchestown festival and I’d expect they’ll try and run them all in one of the many bumper options throughout the week:

Caldwell Potter - full brother to Mighty Potter, half bro to French Dynamite and Indiana Jones

Firm Footings - half brother to Monalee out of Walk In The Park.

Why Delilah - half sister to Landofhopeandglory

They don’t tend to focus on bumpers so this could be experience before they go hurdling next season.

That's interesting that you see it like this Zach. I thought Facile Vega looked all speed and would be his number one for The 2023 Supreme

Either works for me mate, as Lobos said I think Willie may make Facile Vega go up in trip as he wont be short of stamina off of breeding but then again I am only going off RD's leopardstown run over christmas when it wasnt on bad ground! I could look like a bloody idiot come mid week

No doubt we will only find out a few days before after months of (Mostly) healthy debate!

                  • This is as good a time as any to make the plea that individual threads for the novice races (hurdles and chases) aren't opened until at least January. I basically gave up on them this season because of the duplication across threads.

                    • What race do we think Seabank Bistro runs in at the festival next year? Keen to put some money on him before his price shortens (if he runs well at Punchestown). I’m thinking the Albert Bartlett but interested to see what others think, thanks!

Won a Belharbour 5yo PTP in February impressively for Donnchadh Doyle. Word was out before he ran and he duly obliged; travelling well, putting the race to bed easily and posting a big rating. He was due to head to the sales, but I am led to believe he has been sold privately (?400k?) to Willie Mullins. Given his age I would take a guess that he'd go hurdling next season but you never know with Willie. If he goes hurdling he'll be one for 2m-2m4f in my opinion as he's sharp and travels strongly.
One of a few interesting entries in Friday's final race at Punchestown. Owned by JP and trained by Willie.

Yes I’m glad to see him entered. I knew he was with Willie, just not the owners.
