I was at Fairyhouse for the National and DEMANDRIVINGDOUVAN was the horse at the front of my mind.

He started by saying something along the lines of ‘lovely horse’ for those interested.

I also spoke to Paddy Mullins who said Barry the Butcher was “the best”. He was chuckling as he said it so take that as you will
    Nice one.

Hopefully they aim Demandrivingdouvan at the Supreme.

Barry could be the Mullins horse for the bumper atm. Only 4 atm (so 5 at Cheltenham) and Willie has so many novices already. 33s isn't bad for him

Don’t suppose Paddy hinted at bumper or hurdle route mate? Nice one for posting the info.

Afraid not mate. He was in a rush back to the weighing room.

the fact he knew about him and commented he was “the best” made me think he’s got his leg over him, therefore Bumper.

Thats me clutching at straws though..

No, sound logic. If he’s gone to Willie, and at that age, bumper has to be the most likely route … that 33/1 with Sky is tempting to go at again.

                …25-1 now with Sky.

                • And now 20s… Those quotes have ended the 33s, shame only a few bookies seem to have the bumper priced up and some of the big players don’t have Barry The Butcher priced up.

                  • Bravemansgame was sent off the 11-8 favourite for the Mildmay Novices’ Chase at Aintree but finished last of four, beaten 30 lengths by Ahoy Senor.

Ulcers in horses are graded on a scale of zero to four, where zero shows no presence of ulcers and four indicates extensive lesions.

“Interestingly, we did all sorts of test and we’ve found out he had grade four ulcers,” said Nicholls, on a call organised by Great British Racing to celebrate his 13th trainers’ championship.

“We test all our horses in September and January, just to get a mark on them, and he was clear of them in September and January, but for whatever reason he ended up with them after Cheltenham and Aintree which isn’t ideal.

He has ran horses in these races before after a run at Fairyhouse.

But this is when Fairyhouse (Easter) has been a couple of weeks earlier, and/or not usually on the back of an Irish National run.

I'd be surprised to see GDM run next week.
I think i would be surprised too Saxon , I want to go in again with G.D.M , but obviously not if he runs and Wins next week.

                      • …..anybody any thoughts or insight into plans for Paul Nolan’s Daily Present next season?

He has a few entries at Punchestown including in a hot looking Irish Mirror Hurdle (not sure why he’s 20-1 whilst the horse he beat fair and square last time, Bronn is 7-1). No idea if it’s hurdles or chasing for him next year, all I find is Nolan saying he’s a proper stayer.

Thought his win last time was very decent.

I think 8s is reasonable given he's rated good enough now, to win any NHC recent history of its upgrade to a Listed then a Grade 2 event.

Maybe that can be price-boosted too.

Makes sense to ensure he's not running at Punchestown next week, first though.

Wasn't Stattler also 10/1 at this time last year with no chasing experience and a poor run in the Bartlett? GDM price is excellent if my memory is correct (which is a big if to be fair!)

                            • Anyone feel like Redemption Day has been a little forgotten about? Should be on better ground for Punchestown.

I think he'll be willie's supreme horse next year, looks full of speed with vega going to the ballymore
