Wouldnt be a traditional route to the fez if anyones backed him
      Aramon-esque route then perhaps

He looked like a chaser in the making to me - but he didn’t exactly get a hard time. As you say he was about 6 wide on the bend for no obvious reason and was only given a gentle tap once all was lost. He certainly disappointed and worryingly the vibes in the betting weren’t negative at all - but, we are 11 months away and another year to fill into that huge frame will do him good. They clearly think plenty of him, so won’t be writing him off completely. Interestingly Appreciate It (also a big baby at the time) came third early doors in a pro am (lower grade as well…oh, and guess who the jockey was!!) before working out the game and coming 2nd in the bumper to Ferny Hollow a few races later… we all then know what he then did in the Supreme. I think the 33s is worth a small nibble.

        • Halka Du Tabert – not seen this horse priced up yet, but worth keeping an eye on.

Another impressive Borris winner in Halka Du Tabert was the focus of an intense online bidding battle when selling to Peter Molony of Rathmore Stud for 260,000gns.

Consigned by James Doyle's Baltimore Stables, the daughter of Balko was an ?18,000 private purchase from last year's Goffs UK Mixed Summer Sale and she duly rewarded her connections here with a six-figure price tag.

Halka Du Tabert was also an imperious winner of her sole start for Mary Doyle, romping home by a country mile (45 lengths) in the second division of the four-year-old mares' maiden, and looks set to head to Gordon Elliott.

Molony said: "She was incredibly impressive when she won, she won very easily and in the fastest time of the day under no pressure. She jumped for fun and she looks to have a fairly serious engine.

"She'll come back to Rathmore for a month or two to have a break and she'll eventually end up with Gordon Elliott."
She is the fifth foal out of the French Listed-winning chaser Naska and a full-sister to another French winner in Damara Du Talbert.

          • Halka Du Tabert is 20's with Hills any race. I got Hiddenvalley Lake and An Tobar priced up, both also 20's TWAR. I also got Hiddenvalley added to the Ballymore with B365 at 33's (40's with Sky). He's also on B365 at 40's for the Supreme.

If I had a WH account, I'd be all over that An Tobar price.

Not sure. I'd have to find where the nearest William Hill is to me as the nearest closed down last year.

I'm sure someone mentioned in here that all online specials were available in shop (with Hills).
Like you my nearest isn't round the corner but it could be worth a drive especially if they start allowing the any race horses in multis again...

                      • B365 seem to be cutting a lot of prices. Turning into a piss poor outfit

                        • Question from someone not hugely experienced with the P2P scene, presumably purchases like An Tobar (and Constitution Hill last year) tend to go straight to novice hurdling and bypass the bumpers? Are there any examples where they have gone back to bumpers (assuming that P2P doesn’t count as an official race under rules, obviously if it does then my question has already been answered!!)

No PTP race comes under the category of ‘rules’.
I haven’t checked the numbers but I’d say the majority of horses that come from the PTP scene will debut in a bumper if only for raceday/racecourse experience….

                              • Yea, last few champion bumper winners before FV were ex pointers. And America Mike in 2nd this year also was. Certainly common practice for PTP horses to start over hurdles.

With Henry though isn't he who isn't that known for his bumper horses, and he'll he 6 by next Cheltenham. At a complete guess I wouldn't be surprised if they went for a bumper introduction towards the end of this season and then a novice hurdling campaign next? I know nothing of the horse though tbh
