Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I saw it as a genuine error rather than outright tiredness but we all see things differently. I've no reason to go back in at 8s but I understand why people wouldn't, it is poor this far out but could still look good again in a matter of months.

Another thought some may be interested in is Frontal Assault who will also be a second season novice for the NHC and may well be Gordon Elliotts dart for that (certainly the most obvious candidate at this moment). He's generally 12s but Skybet are offering 25/1.

The Donnellys and Willie also have Ramillies as a staying novice chaser next year.
Willie had the below quote for Ramillies at the start of this season and was just one I had marked for potential NHC 2023.
"He shows me a lot at home but has disappointed on the racetrack. He’s a fine, big chasing type."
He Should be one that comes on for a fence.

Did Cheltenham take the edge off him as well as the weight? I don't necessarily think 8/1 is a good price now, but surely it's better than the 10/1 stattler we had this time last year?

Demandrivingdouvan going over hurdles next season! Gordon wants him out at punchestown before a hurdles campaign next season.

Think G.D.M clipped the last or second last as well. ( i might have to watch that back).

Weight in comparison to his rivals possibly? He was running off 154 and giving over a stone to the 2nd and and best part of 2 stone to the winner. He seemed to keep on well enough, just a bit slower than them. Wouldn't have him as a non starter.

Stattler was a massive takeaway for me this year. Looks GC and Grand Nash. I've taken 20s GC but not sure how what main target will be. No doubt the owner would love to win the GC after their Galvin hopes last year but also came agonisingly close in the GN. Any thoughts or heard any trainer comments etc. Thanks

Possibly. Not sure if they'll try to get him better handicapped next season for the Grand National.

Yeah tbf plenty were well aware of the potential route(only got to scroll through twitter) if not winning so could envisage being installed as fav after today, nice little race check early Autumn and inevitably get halved again .

We could have an almighty Gold Cup next year if the novices train on
    APT
    Minella Indo
Protektorat (may have some improvement left in him only being 7 but I think he may be the gatekeeper type horse next year for the British on whether they will be good enough to even line up)
    GDC
    LHomme Presse
    Ahoy Senor
    Stattler
Monkfish (please let him come back from his injury with the same level of ability)
    Conflated
My Drogo? (always been talked about as a Godly Cup horse)
Bob (if they improve his fencing and get him landing with speed)
Capodanno (still think he has a lot of improvement in him)

But they all need to improve to reach the level set by APT. He's a genuine 180+ horse and they don't come along very often.
