The stats back up your opinion JM - Telmesomethinggirl the only winner to have started her career in a ptp.

And she then had 8 hurdle races over 2 seasons before winning at the Festival.

That does seem to be one thing most of the MNH winners have in common - they mostly had the benefit of several runs over hurdles or on the flat before scoring in the MNH.

Experience does seem to be key.

And maybe my 40-1 Kudeshava bet is not looking so good after all.

      A 2M4F Bumper too.

So maybe a stayer in the making, rather than a 2M Hurdler.

Based on her page she’s unlikely to be a sharper type that’s for sure.

        • Re Flooring Porter.....I'm of the opinion that he is simply a much better horse around Cheltenham. It just suits him perfectly and he has won both Stayers with loads in hand. He just looks unbeatable there.

          • What do people think to Blazing Khal going for the Stayers next year? Do we think he will go, I've not heard anything about him going chasing from Mr Byrnes.

His form was boosted at Aintree with Gelino Bello and he was favourite for the AB before being injured. Won twice at the track last year so has course form. And the main one for me is that the Trainer has already won the race with Solwit.

If he goes this route 25/1 is pretty good odds to me in the race

….he has been mentioned by others, also concerns voiced about his injury. I don’t think he has an entry at Punchestown Festival.

Been compared to Weapons Amnesty by the trainer, which would suggest the goes chasing.

Byrnes said in Jan that BK reminded him of Weapons Amnesty who went the RSA route. Which hints he might go chasing next year.

And confirmed in March that BK is 100% but will miss Punchestown as no point coming back for one race and we’ll see him early next year.

                  • I can't wait to see Might I over 3m next season in the hurdle division. Start him off in the Aintree 3m handicap in October and then step him up to G1 level at Newbury or Ascot if successful and then to the Cleeve so he gets some Cheltenham experience. The GB horses are pretty weak and he could be competitive in the division. 33s with Sky and Unibet wouldn't tempt me yet but that should hold over the summer.

Also entered in the 2m bumper at Cork on Monday.

                      • HDB trained Top Speed running tomorrow in the Clonmel Bumper. Owned by Barry Maloney. Impressive PTP winner earlier in the season. Don’t know his rating but believe he was highest rated 4yo in Autumn ‘21.

Think he’ll be one for the Bally/AB.

Surprised he’s 2nd fav tomorrow. But suppose it’s Willie’s in the bumper.

                          • I know it’s too early for this conversation really but after his P2P performance and connections would Top Speed’s most likely target be the Albert Bartlett?

                            • Not cheltenham related. Anyone got any ideas if stable tours are seven barrows are available to general public anytime? Seen they had something similar today called lambourn open day. Any suggestions would be great

                              • Instant Tendance goes today in a warmish looking bumper at Fairyhouse. I’m glad she’s out before the end of the season as it will mean she’ll likely go hurdling next.
