Thank you for all of your votes. That's 3 of the 4 horses selected. I am just waiting for this morning's decs to see if there are any surprises before giving the complete 4. Given we didn't unanimously agree on the forum owned horse, I will include him as he got most votes and then provide an alternative selection for anyone who wants to stay away from him for the purposes of the fj Yankee. The advised Yankee will include him though.

Hoping to have this up before 12 for you all

So here we go. I'll start with the caveat that typically Friday is the worst day of the week for me so I've leant on you guys to a large extent. It was also my original intention that Galvin was going to be the banker, but at 11/4 noted this morning I couldn't bring myself to do it so I've pivoted to Langer Dan. Now on to the selections for the EW YANKEE...

      Banker
      Langer Dan 9/2ish

Surely a place banker at the minimum. 9/2 isn't a good price for a handicap, but I'd be very disappointed if he wasn't right up there given a clear round. The form with GDC is electric and who knows what was going on when he was dropped 3lbs for his Taunton run...

      My pick
      Shantreusse 8/1ish

I respect the opinions on other horses and I was particularly swayed by Stag Horn but I was expecting to see 16/1 or better for him (which may have been foolish on my part) so seeing 8/1 didn't really attact me. My logic for Shantreusse is simple. HDB is not an idiot and if he's seeing something in Shantreusse that is better from a staying perspective than JWM (who everyone knows I loved for the Bartlett), then he must be a good animal.

      Poll picks
      Dubai Quest 14/1ish

Full credit to DenmanSacre here. You made an excellent case, which was extremely well supported in the poll. I'm happy to have him running for us.

      Suprise Package 8/1ish
From one of our own, he was incredibly impressive in the Imperial Cup and hopefully he can follow up. I feel he may struggle against a horse like State Man, but there are doubts over where that one runs. For those who do not wish to put Suprise Package in, my personal fancy if State Man doesn't run (I think he will) is Tax For Max and I've been particularly impressed by the arguments for Colonel Mustard.

      Current Odds
      Bet365: 6681/1 (200/1 the place acca)
      Betfred: 5939/1
      Coral: 5147/1
      Paddy: 4971/1
      Skybet: 4003/1

Good luck everyone, thank you for letting me captain and getting involved and sorry this is my worst day of the four so it might be terrible!

Top work Odin. Friday is always a punters nightmare so you've drawn the short straw this year. I'll wait until the decs so we get the extra places but it covers 2 horses I don't have.

        Good luck everyone!
