FJ Day Three (Thursday) Yankee - Captain: ThomasJHogg

Thursday’s yankee is a dilemma in that the separate handicap yankee could take away (assuming people don’t want a clash/contradiction) viable contenders for here.
Also not helped by the fact the Turners looks a match, Ryanair a walkover and Mares novice a guess up so options thin on the ground.
Get creative people…

Tricky day, you've definitely got the toughest one to pick from here.
I don't think there's anything wrong with having a selection in the Pertemps in both yankees, there are probably enough lively ones of interest in there. I put up Dallas Des Pictons in the other thread, I think he's a great bet at the current prices. Right stable, Elliott got him qualfied early and he looked to be absolutely cruising in the handicap at Leopardstown before bruising his knee. Seems to have been quite nicely treated by the British handicapper compared to a few others too. Thought it was interesting that Davy chose him in that race too over the likes of Dunboyne, plus it seems to be a tried and tested route for Gigginstown runners before the festival.
Ruby seemed quite sweet on Night and Day for the Mares Novice in the Paddy Power preview last night, could be a lively one at a big price but hard to make a real case for her. That's about as creative as I can get before I've had more coffee I think...

I am starting to get a bit obsessed with Dinoblue.
If we're each way though, Mighty Blue in that race, placed last year. A seasons worth of experience gained..... doesn't look particularly strong this year.... no reason she can't place again at least.

Been scouring each race thread from Thursday to gauge opinion too, I’m taking the brave (stupid) route of win only Yankee not each way (Unless you personally want to play it that way). You only get one go round as a novice on this forum so we are going to take the lot. Fire in those win only bets

Tough day the Thursday so best of luck. All of the Elliott horses in the pertemps have been mentioned at one time or another on here and understandably so. So choosing any of those will be well received I’d imagine. I’ll put an alternative pertemps horse in the ring for consideration....Honest Vic. Has some solid course and festival form. The trainer stated that he worked recently better than he has done for two years. He only needed to jog round at Huntingdon to qualify and was dropped 5 pounds in the process leaving him on the same mark (141) as his last win (coincidentally at Cheltenham) when he recorded an rpr of 154. Chasing hasn’t worked out for him and back to hurdles I think a big run is a real possibility.
