If the forecast by Yr is correct, it is going to get soggy before racing starts.

About an hour away and it's just started - would call it a light drizzle. Anyone close to the course with an update?

There's little to no chance of it missing completely going by the radar. Just a measure of how much! It isn't pleasant right now in Bristol that's for sure.

Somerset 30mins from Bristol. Raining for about 3hrs now. Not heavy but the fine stuff that soaks you quickly. Hope you dont get this.

Yeah just parked about half a mile away from course. It's nothing rain now, but that radar shows a big patch of rain that could come in the next hour or so. I'm planning for soft side of good ground/good side of soft ground (yesterday for me was pure good ground).

Will a rainy day affect the going that much today? As it was good ground yesterday it would almost make for perfect ground?

                    • Racing Post just tweeted that the ground is good, good to soft in places.

                      • We had good to soft ground for most of the winter, and it paid to switch to the horses that ran near the front / those with a bit of speed

                        • Good to soft, good in places now according to Gary O'Brien on Racing TV

                          • Rain has been pretty constant for the last hour or so now, definitely be needing soft ground horses by the end of the day
